I think we'll see a small displacement TTV8 before they discontinue the V8 entirely. I wish Ford would go with a 3.8L unit like the one found in Mclaren 650s(641hp/520lb.-ft.) or a 4L TTV8 like Mercedes, Audi, etc. They make so much torque and they are way more efficient than the N/A 5.0

There still better be a god damn V8 around when I can one day hopefully have money. Then they can do whatever they want. :p

I just dont see the outlay of money to develop this when a ton has already been spent on the ecoboost v6. It has the potential to be a monster in this car.

I know I am a old fogey, but the very reason I bought a mustang was to get a V8. I actually wish it was 100 cu in larger than it is. If I wanted a turbo v6, it would be a 4matic, or kompressor Mercedes. I wanted- old school muscle. I'm pretty sure Ford is going to continue this "type" of layout, until most all of us boomers quit buying 2-door RWD cars. For that matter, it might spell the end of the entire genre. I think that Tesla type S with the ludicrous button is VERY intriguing.

Hmmm?

I like the way Lethal thinks. but here's my take.
Do like Dodge did and make the most powerful motor you have an option for the most popular model (they put the 485 HP engine on the option list for the Challenger and not just the SRT model) So we can have the GT with the Voodoo motor. Then do it again with the Magnetoride suspension as an option. I don't care what colors you offer, those two options on the list will mean some seriously large order lists ensuring a really profitable year for the Mustang line.:headband:

I almost forgot, if you don't listen to any of us here on the Forum then expect a boatload of orders for the Voodoo crate motor cause the S550 as it is would really come alive with the Voodoo, and I'm sure the aftermarket vendors would help us make room
for it in the cars we already have.

Lower hood height like the GT350, quad tip exhaust (or oval like the GT500), more aggressive front fascia on the GT to further differentiate between models, a performance pack that can compare to the 1LE and a new manual.
