I don’t know if I’m crazy but my 2017 GT PP makes a different sound from under the hood under heavy acceleration while in track mode vs Sport. Not in a bad way necessarily but noticeable. Anyone else notice this?

I am glad I am not alone in this perception. My 2015 also changes sound ever so slightly in Track mode. Even my son noticed it the first time I took him for a ride and put it in Track mode. Now it’s not like the active exhaust system difference, but there IS a difference.

Yes. It’s not the exhaust note as far as I can tell. It’s under the hood.

Going to sport or track does change the tune slightly. Therefore it will change the exhaust note.

It almost sounds as if it’s sucking air.

Holds gears longer so it might be related to that? I've definitely noticed mine tends to stay higher in the RPM range as well.

In track mode, the throttle signal is boosted-->intake/exhaust is noise is boosted
