2016 SYNC 3 problem

I am new to the forum having just purchased a 2016 GT convertible. I have done all the updates and installed the newer usb hub but am still having problems. Voice recognition is showing NOT READY whenever I try to use it. Also Apple Car Play is not working even after the USB hub install. I have searched the forum but am having trouble finding the help I need. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Did you enable CarPlay on your phone? This may help.

I have done everything in the video. Now my sync is displaying a message that the usb hub is not supported please remove. Guess the part I got at the dealership is the wrong one. Not sure what my next move is.

Ok, two things. Did you do a Sync 3 master reset? Also does your phone work on usb without CarPlay?

No I have not done a Master Reset and the phone works on usb.

I did the Master Reset cleared my Bluetooth from the SYNC and the phone. Still getting Voice Recognition Not Ready and still no Apple Car Play.

I'm running out of ideas here. Truth be told, I do not use CarPlay so someone with more experience with it could be more helpful. But one more idea. Can you get someone else's iPhone and try it? Trying to determine if it's your phone or your car.
