2016 s550 retrofit 2018 steering wheel

So I need to replace my steering, airbag and clock duo to a small accident. If I replace all of this parts with 2018 parts will they work or is there something else needed?

Steering wheel airbag is not backwards compatible from 2015-2017 to 2018-current.

If you get an 18 steering wheel, airbag and clock spring it will mount just fine to the 15-17. You will have to code for audio controls being switched to the opposite side. Might consider doing the digital cluster install if you’re going this far.
