Sneak Preview

The moment has arrived. I inspected her and did all the paperwork yesterday afternoon. The dealership was a mad house! Its a small one that mostly does fleet vehicles and special order, I have never seen it like that. He said he has recieved truck load after truck load! Point being they hadnt had time to clean it and dealer prep it, so I pick her up today in a couple of hours, but on paper she is already mine!!!!

I see you are in St Pete....who did you order your S550 from? I ordered mine on 11/20, so hopefully it won't be too much longer..

I went to Sarasota Ford for the order. I had a little issue with the Autoway Ford sales team in St Petersburg. Sarasota is known for their deals and for their willingness to "Mod" a car for you and then Warranty it. They sell Steeda and Weathershield, and they install Prochargers, CAI etc. In their show room you will see Mustangs on Vossen wheels and with Dyno charts showing as much as 590hp to any other combos they can think up.

As for the waiting, I have nothing constructive to add. People are getting paid to move the cars and there is a rhythm to it even though we who are waiting can't see it. So we just have to wait and eventually something will show up.

I just ordered 01/06/16 my 2016 GT Premium, couldn't find one anywhere in the US with the options I wanted so it had to be ordered.

Welcome to Mustang6g! Good choice too. You shouldn't have to worry much about the Pirelli's, where you're at, although they won't wear well and are a little squirrelly in the rain. Not good when it gets below about 45°, but hey, they're a "summer" tire. Just start orderin' stuff while you wait... but watch out - it's addictive!!!

Lol yeah. After that massive v6 thoughts thread I made it became clear to me the 6ixer made sense for right now. I will eventually pick a v8 or whatever is in that bracket in a couple of years. But, for my needs the v6 will be perfect. Plus, I'll do a full ambient light setup + the premium bezel and MFT so in essence it'll be a v6 premium

I'm surprised that thread didn't go nuclear! You certainly won't regret it. Over that 5 years, you'll save a ton on insurance and gasoline. Gas isn't going to stay cheap forever... maybe another year.

Me and another GT owner at work are trying to get another co-worker to understand that in his circumstances (needs), he's much better off with the V6. But he "wants" a GT. But... it'll be his choice, and he'll have to live with it. No "It seemed like a good idea at the time" syndrome for me yet. And after 3 months, I doubt there will ever be. I did the research, made the calculations and then made my choice. I'm LOVIN' it! And in 11 more days, I'll have been driving it for as long as it took to get it.

Thanks and yeah I know what you mean... the wait now is the hardest part. I just want to skip through time hahah. In the mean time I'm basically gathering the parts I want to install in the car.
