VIN # Registration

So the other day I received my VIN # from Deysha like many of us here  so I went exploring and this is what I discovered.

1) VIN # does not show on COTUS. Per Deysha most likely wont show up till after car is built and she said it might have been taken out of service for public viewing. So best place for updated build info is still Deysha (she is excellent)

2) I was able to look up VIN # on Ford Etis site (https://www.etis.ford.com/) and it did pull up my VIN # It shows a build date of 30.11.0002 which I understand is a holding date until an actual build date is assigned.

3) **MOST IMPORTANT** I was able to register as an owner using my VIN # on the Ford website (https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/sign-in.html) and at the bottom of the Owner Welcome page was this special offer:

Additional Offers
Up to $1,000.00 Private Cash Offer1
Offer expires: 2015-09-12

Certificate Number: 000720XXXXXX

1This offer is only valid for the customer named on the certificate. This offer is transferable within the customer's immediate household. For use on sales to individuals only; may not be used on commercial sales. Certificates may be used toward the retail purchase or lease of an eligible Ford or Lincoln vehicle. Only one certificate may be applied per household, per vehicle purchase or lease. Take new retail delivery from U.S. Ford or Lincoln dealer stock by 09/12/2015. Not all vehicles are eligible or qualify for highest amount shown. See dealer for complete details.

I am going to call my dealer to see if he can get this locked in for me and will update you on what they say.

** I would not recommend you register until a few days before you pick up your 2016 as any additional offers would then fall within your actual date of when you take delivery from the dealer**

Hope this will help some of you and I really wish that all of these extra incentives either come with a longer expiration date or they can all be locked in (I undersatnd the marketing aspect of using these to get people who are on the fence to actually purchase, but I also feel those of us who buy early and actually sell many cars for ford while driving them early should be rewarded)

What a beauty, she looks amazing and glad to finally see a OEM painted black roof. Can't wait to see how it looks on Ingot Silver.

Can you report back on the back glass and overall fit and finish of body panels . Thx

I meant to say the back glass not painted black roof . Quite a few owners of 15's have reported that the black glass was sunk in on the upper left side.

Off the Fence

After lurking here for months and agonizing over the decision I finally put down the deposit on the '16 GT (x-plan through Galpin).

I was mistaken, I gotz my VIN!!! Drove to the dealership and asked... they said yes!!! scheduled the week of the 9-14-2015... >.> not exited about that... a little worried if I'm honest.

I just assumed it was a NO on my VIN since I didn't receive a message like a lot of people did.

That's Great!

I think those that have gotten VIN numbers (me too), came from PM's to Deysha (FordService). I know what you mean about the week of the 14th. I figure that's the week mine will schedule. It IS a little scary. Who wants a car built just before the UAW might go on strike? GubMint Motors and Chrysler UAW rank and file have voted to strike if necessary... Chrysler's vote was 97% yes. To my knowledge, the union hasn't even authorized a vote against Ford yet. I hope they settle and both sides come out OK.

You may want to PM Deysha with your VIN, dealer name and order number and have her double check the dates. The old Reagan line rings true: "Trust but verify."

Happy waitin'!

If there was a strike on ford plants, I wish my car happened right after... I assume people are happy to be back to work in better terms than before

I had sent PM's to Deysha so I did not bug her with another one. I just assumed that she had a list of people so when the VINs came in, she was just going to email everyone with a VIN. That is why I assumed I had non.

I will be checking with Deysha and my dealer (alternating) so that I dont bother someone too much LOL. Thankfully my dealer gave me a paper that says Ford Confidential :ninja: :gossip: where it shows my VIN, order status and scheduled date.

I am aware it is all subject to change if the wind changes course or the chicken puts an egg.
