I will be checking with Deysha and my dealer (alternating) so that I dont bother someone too much LOL. Thankfully my dealer gave me a paper that says Ford Confidential :gossip: where it shows my VIN, order status and scheduled date.

Sheeit! I haven't even got that yet. I was lucky that Deysha was checking on my color change the day before. She happened to run it through again, and bingo! Came home from work and had a VIN. Second hand info I got from an "anonymous source" in Dearborn is that the company is fairly confident there will be an agreement and no strike. Of course meteorologists and stock brokers are PAID to predict the future, and they often don't even get it right one day ahead of time. "OK to Buy" should be given on Monday, which signals the "official" scheduling of retail builds on the 3rd.

Going to call the dealer on Monday and ask for my "Ford Confidential" sheet.

When did you initially place it? I didn't think it mattered if you changed your order, as far as changing your "place" in line for builds?

It was around mid June initially. If i retained my initial place in line remains to be seen. If i'm not in the first batch , means i lost it. We'll see when Deysha replies to my PM.

I've seen no panel aliment issues, only issues I ran into is that there is a rattle in my passenger side door when speakers are turned up. I know there is always vibration when speakers are turned up but I didn't get the speaker system upgrade and not plan to use it. Going to the dealership Monday to resolve the issue. Also the plastic parts on the door seem to scratch fairly easy, I got a small mark on mine from my shoe that bothered me for a bit but got over it. :doh:

What a relief to see better panel fit! So much better than the lemon I got in January and I'm even more excited for my 2016 GT Premium PP. I ordered mine with Redline too, it's gonna look sweet with Magnetic!

Since I won my lemon law claim and Ford said they will offset a portion of the price increase to jump from the EcoBoost to the GT I figured why not go for it. All of my payments on the ECO will be coming back to me and going as part of the down payment keeping my payments in the same range as the ECO. *WINNING*

Hopefully it is the case, but we'll have to wait till more '16 owners chime in on the different QC issues .

Please keep in mind that I haven't bought a new car since 2002. I placed an order on 7/8, the dealer told me 8-12 weeks, but closer to 8 (which puts me around 9/2) I didn't get a vin, or a build week yet, so I'm thinking that at this point, I'll be lucky to get it around mid to late Oct. (never heard of this forum, so had no idea they weren't being built yet)
I saw on the inventory a dealership that has a very similar build. It has a few small extras that I don't care about, but no biggie (floor mats and assist parking) The dealer told me that they will contact the other dealership Monday to see if they can get it. Here is my problem; the other dealership is 70 miles away (if traveling by plane, so figure 100) They said they have a guy that picks it up and drives it over. So it will have over 100 miles, plus I have no idea if he beat the hell out of it.
Instead of waiting for the ordered car, I would be more inclined to wait until the spring. It won't be my daily driver and NY winters can be brutal. So now I'm debating between getting the other car or canceling all together.
Have any of you had a car driven from another dealership and have any issues? Wish they would let me pick it up instead, but apparently they cannot.

Did the dealer specify if it was a "stock or retail" order? Have you talked to your dealer to find out? I would believe that if the dealer was ordering it as a "retail" order, he would have explained to you that "retail" cars weren't being built until September-ish. If it was "stock" order, it may very well be on its way. I would talk to your dealer and get the proper info before you cancel. You already waited almost 2 months, and if it's a "stock" order it could be on it's way. I ordered my car one day before you (7/7), but I knew it was a "retail" order and wouldn't be receiving it until Oct./mid-October.
