Can't wait. Got the vin today.

Ordered a '16 GT, base, manual, 3.55, Ingot Silver on 5 January. Got the VIN on 22 January with a build week scheduled for 8 February. It's been built and has been loaded on a rail car, with delivery scheduled (subject to change, as everything always is) at the dealer for 25 February. Which, coincidentally, is my freaking birthday! I can't think of a better present!!

Thanks I have pm' Deysha a few days ago with the vin. Haven't heard back yet, but I'm sure she's swamped! My current muscle car is a '79 firebird with a 400 cu in. It's fast but comparatively ancient feeling, smelly and raw. It's time to get a modern muscle car as I head into the age abyss. Man, I'm so looking forward to this car. I have a great wife for letting me have it. Um, the car I mean. She usually lets me......well, we won't go there.

I bugged Deysha for quite a while... mine took 3 months and 18 days. Wanted to see what the '16 Camaro was going to look like (pass!), then tried to order a GT350 at MSRP (what a joke!). By then it was too late to order a '15, and '16s didn't start production for over 2 months after I placed the order.

You WILL love it! I had a 2011 and gave it to my daughter. The difference in the cars is a lot. Took hers out for breakfast one Saturday when it was really cold, and couldn't understand why I couldn't open the door by just grabbing the handle. Got inside, and realized I actually had to insert a key and turn it to start the car. And I drove that one every day for 5 years. The '16 handles better too with the IRS. Had mine 4-1/2 months now, and just want to drive it all the time. I've played the radio/CD a total of about 10 minutes in that time... just to see if it worked. Like hearin' that engine... sounds so d@mned good!

Know what you mean about the "age abyss". I'm not over the hill, but I can sure see the top. I'm still a "Toys 'R' Us kid" though. The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

Thanks. My birthday is the 21st. I've been told FWIW that it is scheduled to be built this week.....Now, if true, that would be quite a coincidence. Time to clean out the garage. I want plenty of room around the car. My back is gonna be killing me!
