2016 lightning lap results leaked

Pretty surprising results from this year's lightning lap. The 350r as we already know beat the m4 gts by a second. The standard 350 is probably around the same time as the ss1le, though it's disappointing they didn't test it. What's most surprising is that not only is the grand sport more than 4 seconds faster, it's only a 1/10th off the pace of the gt3rs, which is basically a wash. I'm sure they used a grand sport with the Z07 package, but either way it's impressive. Alot of you guys have been in denial about how fast the C7 GS is, well here's hard data.'Murica!

Wowzer. The GS is almost 5 seconds faster than the R.

What's also kinda neat is the ACR is almost 3 seconds faster than the GT3 RS. That's pretty slick. Talk about 'murica.

But I'm still not moved off of my R order. Can't wait.

I love the fact that the Focus is only 4/10ths of a second behind the hellcat a car with over twice as much horsepower.

Not surprising. The C7 is a world beater overall. For the money, there is no better performer, especially with the current discounts.

I'm not sure I'm buying it as real. The Grand Sport was faster than the R by 4.7 seconds?

Most people don't seem to realize that when you put super sticky tires on a car like the Cup 2's, the lighter the vehicle is, the benefits are exponential as they can perform that much better in cornering grip, acceleration and braking. Wasn't hard to see that the GS would easily eclipse the R's time. Surprising that it got so close to the RS though, that's very impressive.

One thing to take away though, the R was over a second slower than the 14 Z/28 they rested two years ago.. But they've also repaved the track twice since then, and they use a number of different drivers, none of whom are pro racers. So take the results with a grain of salt lol

Real results will come when the Best Drivers Car times are revealed with Randy driving them all at Laguna Seca.

Wow. I cross shopped an M2/M4. Had two 135i(s) before I came back to Mustangs with my '14 GT track pack and now my GT350. I can't believe how good this car is!

I get back to America tomorrow from overseas and take delivery of my GT350 next weekend. I'm stoked. I keep watching YouTube videos over and over.

Ford apparently had come a LONG way. Which is why I ordered a Raptor as well. Getting my dream stable!

Not sure if this is directed at me, but if so, whats your point? Nobody claimed to be professional drivers did they? I know I certainly never. Nobody on here is coming close to the ultimate capabilities of these cars. But when talking about "which car is ultimately faster" you don't factor in novice drivers.... you assume a professional driver behind the wheel of each lol
