Anyone with a 2016, with a PD blower, that removed their under hood insulation? I ask specifically for 2016, as this year has the turn signals in the hood, thus also having additional wiring under the hood. I am curious if anyone has had any issues or concerns with the wiring that goes across the hood, right over the SC? is it "ok" without the insulation there? Seems like it would be pretty darn close to my Whipple. I can't see exactly how close, since the hood is obviously closing lol I am worried about the heat on those dam wires. Any experience with this would be helpful. Thank you.

Just trying to get a better understanding of what you are doing. Mine is a 16 as well with the Whipple but my insulation is still on. You want the insulation off why? Are you worried about the blinker wires drooping if you do?
You can run it either way but may have to secure the hood blinker wiring a little better with it removed. I'm running roush hood vents so my blinkers are non existent anymore but my wiring is tucked under the insulator. I guess I'm curious as to what your ultimate goal is.

I would like it off, because it is rubbing very slightly on the top of my Whipple. With the Whipple being white, it's leaving faint marks on it from rubbing. And yes, I am worried about the wires maybe hanging too low, and possibly touching the SC. I know it's pretty common to remove that insulation, but haven't seen anyone specifically with the 16's yet.

Gotcha and I really like the choice in white which I considered but stayed with black. Taking the insulator off is easy and I'm saying without certainty, you should be able to secure the wires easily from what I recall when I took the insulator off to add the roush vents. You could also loom them to clean it up a bit. Let us know what you end up doing.

Or just cut out/shave down the area directly above the s/c ?? Can't be rubbing too much.

I'd really like to just remove it. Plus if I cut the insulation above the SC, I still have the same issue/concern with the wires still bein right above the SC.

The wires don't look like they would hang down at all. I am just worried that even sitting all the way up against the hood, they still might be too close to the SC. Hoping someone with a 16 has actually tried this.
