2016 gt350 vin updates

Man what a shit system. Looks like some larger dealer will receive 4+ cars before my dealer will take delivery of mine. Was told today my car won't be built until after the xmas shutdown, so looking at Jan/Feb build and a March/April delivery. Now I know it doesn't take 2 months from build to delivery once the line is moving, so not sure if it will come earlier of if it really won't be built until March or later. I don't mind waiting, but pretty shitty system when other dealers will receive a multitude of cars before my dealer gets their single allocation.

Ordered 6/5, so could be a full 10 month wait if it really is delivered in April

Had a manufacturer week of 12/7
Just found out today it's been moved to 11/30.
Would so rock if I got my car this year.... Just saying.

Don't recall your situation but thought you got yours at MSRP. Think this happens more often from smaller dealers. Not always but as a general rule seems like the big dealers, larger cities, larger volume are charging more ADM but those are the ones getting cars earlier as distribution timing is also by Mustang sales volume. If you wanted one earlier probably although not always would have spent more on ADM. Don't think many knew this when first ordering but seems to be the way it is.

What are the last four of your VIN's? Curious how many are planned daily/weekly.

The daily number I've heard for the last few months is 30-40 per day. There were 35 Friday the 13th 2016 GT 350s built, including mine.

BTW, the spread on the VINs for these 35 cars was 844, in case anyone still thinks the GT 350s are being built in VIN order.

Got my VIN yesterday. Surprised to hear production date is scheduled so far out: Jan 11, 2016.

My understanding is large Mustang markets like the South and Far West get priority. Small markets like Colorado are low on the list, but you can get a fair deal if you look outside of Denver. The downside is you are lower on the priority list. Makes sense to me, so I'm low on the list with a fair deal.

My R model #319 is supposed to be assembled 6 days after your car so hopefully everything stays on track for both of us?

The way things are going my 2016 R model may arrive before my 2015 GT350.

It sure would be strange to have a brand new 2015 Shelby GT350 that was assembled on July 21, 2015 to be delivered in the 2016 calendar year!

I sure hope that your car moves ahead on the scheduled production date?

Heck you might have both your cars b4 I get my 2016. That is still sitting at the plant with a status of TBD for shipping. :doh:

I still don't understand why my can was taken off the list. I called ford and they said it was shipped on 11-4 and returned back to the plant on 11-5 with no further information.

That's peculiar and a bummer but hang tight.... at least they will promptly address anything needed. Hope you'll see it soon though. Be optimistic.
