Good morning, everyone. This is my first time joining a forum so thank you for allowing me to join your family. I have a 16' GT with 82,000 miles on her. About two years ago, I started having issues with it not starting. It was very sporadic. Push the clutch in and the green light on the start button comes on solid. Push the start button and no crank and the green light flashes and push clutch appears in the dash cluster. After trying to push and release the clutch several times I did get a notification on the dash that I have tried to start my car too many time and had to wait to try again. Guessing this is so someone doesn't burn up a started or kill their battery. I have connected my scan tool and verified through it the two clutch switchers are operating. I removed both of them and using an ohm meter I verified there was no dead spots in them. I pulled some codes and here is what I found, P06E-00(PCM sends power and engine is not turning over), P162F-00(starter disabled do to over cranking0) U3000-04(not sure about this one), B108A-24(Start button signal stuck high), and U0401-00(Invalid data between PCM and other modules. Has anyone every ran into this or no which route to take to diagnose it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How familiar are you with CAN high and low systems and troubleshooting data networks? It sounds to me like that's where the problem is going to lie.
My own limited knowledge and experience makes me believe that you have a ground problem. Possibly an open ground since you have a high signal.
Which would make my internet WAG (wild ass guess) diagnosis some sort of wire damage, possibly rodent related.

I was wondering if not using a Motorcraft battery would be the issue. I did learn that when the battery voltage dropped below 12 and I tried to start it, I had almost every on the dash go off. I checked the codes and had 12 new ones. After recharging the battery and clearing them the only code that is there now is the P06E9-00. Is your battery Motorcraft?

I was having the same issue. No crank. Battery and starter relays tested out fine. Was able to start it by jumping the starter relay. Running a scanner it displayed several codes for battery voltage and long crank times. Erased the codes and voila- starts right up with the push of the start button.
