What is the purpose of a shaker hood on a FI motor? Did they find someway to route the air from the scoop down to the filter?

I guess we're considering blowers bolt ons these days.

I do believe the Procharger is a bolt on as you can install it with no modification to the existing car, remove it, and be completely stock again...
