2015 Mustang Revised Tomtop Install

Has anyone figured out how to permanently avoid the unit showing China time instead of my time? It seems to be a recurring side effect with a few people including myself.

Got my unit this morning but no manual or diagram, nothing.......

So I will be using this as my install guide, but it would have been nice to get the promised manual, not sure what all the capped wires are for...........

got mine installed and it beeps when it shuts off or turn ons do you get the same thing?

Hey guys,
What did you do with the 7 cables that are loose ?

-yellow: B+ tag
-yellow: w/ Chinese writing
-red: ACC IN tag
-pink: ACC OUT tag
-green: Chinese writing
-green: L IN tag
-black: GND tag

I have read everything I could find about this unit,
but I have not seen any post about what people are doing with these cables.

I just taped them up and tucked them with the harness. I'm not sure what they're for because everything with my unit works fine. Maybe someone that's more familiar with electronics can chime in but I think they're just extra wire to maybe add something later on.

I was wondering if connecting one of them would have something to do w/ keeping the clock on the correct time.

It seems like I'm the only one so far that has a clock that keeps the correct time. It's weird.

I notice that if the car is not on and only on acc mode unit shuts off!
I cant remeber how long it stays on before it shuts off.

So unless the car is on i wont be able to keep the unit on

I have the same issues, beeps,starts up when i open the door etc clock,temp,etc, also im guessing those extra wires are to wire up accessories to this unit. (probably to be sold in the near future under another name brand)

Used this guide to install mine- thank you! Had to look it up on my phone multiple times if I got confused during install. Excellent job!

Mine does the annoying beep as well.

did you connect everything the same as in the install write up or did you connect something different or in addition that others might not have to get the clock to work?
maybe if you list all your connections here someone might catch something different.

My install was just like the write up in this thread. There's several others now that are popping up with being able to keep the correct time. It looks like with the newer units they corrected the problem.
