Am I completely misunderstanding here...

If the OKTB date is reached, then, and only then, will stock orders be approved for shipment to dealers right? If there are delays in reaching OKTB it means something is wrong... right? So that means ALL the stock orders made prior to OKTB will need to be "fixed" for whatever was wrong. Logic tells me that since retail orders won't begin until OKTB is achieved, and that means a fully functioning assembly line without error, that retail orders will be built and shipped far more quickly than stock orders.

Why doesn't ford catch a clue that dealers are pulling these strings and totally fawking it up for those that ordered retail?.. fawk those dealers every one of them
Start using social media to express concern. I just posted on Ford Mustang's FB page. I assume it wont change anything, but if a lot of people do it it might.

Ford really needs to rethink how they handle pre-orders months in advance of release. I don't have a solution, but I'm just saying the system is flawed. I already have a VIN, and not not saying when I placed my order because it's probably just going to piss off more people. But I feel for you guys you ordered in May and still have nothing.

I would not want to have a guinea pig production line model... either way...those stock order s multiplying and getting fulfilled with people only ordering weeks or even days ago getting VIN and in production just makes it alot worse... screw them...a good dealer is the one who follows the book

Yea. It's not that I want my VIN RIGHT NOW.... its just that people who ordered last week or this week are getting the shit already. People who heard about the car a month ago are jumping on the bandwagon and getting their orders fulfilled before any of us enthusiasts. I can only imagine what the people in may are going through...and I'm only at 11 weeks.

I guess the fact that schedulinh could be supply chain driven doesn't matter?

Folks, there are, literally, thousands of thimgs that must line up just so for a car to be made. You may have something that they don't have parts for, don't have enough of those option combos to build at once, could be anything.

And, with all due respect, thanks for your service but thinking you should be first because youre a vet is kinda silly and selfish. Everybody gotta wait their turn.

Easy to see patience is running oit quickly and it's not even fall yet.
