Why does it list "Rear Spoiler" as standard, thought it wasn't part of the deal?
If and when my 2015 Mustang Convertible finally arrives and it comes (without) the Option # 13D "Spoiler Delete", I`ll refuse delivery, period. I don`t want the damn Blade Spoiler for Free!

Mustang Build History

My salesman just forwarded me a full history of my car's progression through production. I thought someone might be interested to see the build pace of these early cars and the steps they must move through. (I just assumed it all happened in one day.)

I'm still not sure what day to celebrate her birthday. Should it be the date on the windows sticker (9/26), the date production was finalized (9/27), the date she arrives at the dealership (TBD), or perhaps the day I driver her off of the dealership's lot (most likely the same date she arrives (TBD).

Thanks for posting! Was this from the Vehicle Visibility system?

Can someone explain the "Scheduled to Day" date?

From DonLafond's date listing above, it looks like that means the date at which it's done, since his 'Scheduled to Day' was Aug 26, and the 27th was when it was 'Produced' and it was sent to the plan the week prior.

Not sure where my dealer got it. Hopefully I didn't post confidential information. I'm sure he just copied and pasted the information. It actually went all of the way back to when the VIN was issued, but I didn't think that part was as interesting.

Yup, that was the Schedule to "be built" Day, during the week they've been telling me to expect production. Right on time.

Now the question is, how long are they going to hold it before shipping.

The 9/22 date is my 'Scheduled to Day', so I'm now expecting it to be built the week of the 15th, which lines up with Tricia's estimate of 'mid-september'.

Not that it matters much, I still have to wait for it to be shipped. That's the more important date.

Dealer Stock Orders are held in storage for a minimum of 5 days to assure a continuation of Production Run with no quality issues before Vehicles are released to go on Rail Carriers for shipment. Often times, they are held much longer. With all the "hype" going into the 2015 Mustang, Ford is trying like hell to avoid having "egg on their face".

I have my count down app set at October 1st, 29 days and counting. I figure if it gets here before then, I will be thrilled. If I count on September 15th, I'll probably be disappointed. It is all about managing expectations.

I'm excited for all of you who are going to be scheduled starting on 9/11. Hopefully it goes just as smoothly for you as it did for me.
