2015 Mustang Production / Ordering Schedule

Everyone that saying November is simply quoting fords release estimate of "fall 2014".

More like quoting Ford's dealer bulletin from last week:

Mustang & F150 Delivery Timing Estimates

The new Mustang is in production. We expect retail order scheduling of the coupe to begin in late September with dealer arrivals in November. The convertible model will follow about 30 days later.​

F150 production at Dearborn will begin in October. We estimate retail ordered vehicles will begin to arrive in February. Kansas City will begin production in Q1 2015.​

Well based on that information, you would assume that "clean" Convertible Orders with (prices) should begin to be accepted in the Unscheduled Order Bank within the next 30 days, (late Sept) with Scheduling an VIN assignments beginning in late Oct for the 2015 Mustang Convertibles?

Good news. My salesman called me today, he reconfigured one of the cars they already ordered to be my order. Hopefully that also makes it come a little sooner.

Anybody heard anything about job 2 for fastbacks? Anything concrete?

My mistake, I know that. I thought you were saying only 500 had been built. I believe they can make over 600 cars in a day, so I was thinking you were saying that the plant was not at full production.

According to a natgeo megafactories show that covered the mustang being built, they make 680 a day.

I hope you're wrong too. That would mean a 4-7 month wait for anyone ordering now, which would be absolutely ridiculous.

does anyone know the difference between the various trackign sites
my order doesn't work on www.cotus.ford.com or www.cotusb.ford.com but I recently ran across wwwqa.cotusb.ford.com and low and behold it works. this was consistent for ie, firefox and chrome on my computer.
also just checked wwwqa.cotus.ford.com and it worked there too. weird. different info stored on different servers?

also, a little miffed because I ordered on 5/26 but on cotus it's showing my order as 6/10. I'm assuming my sales rep moves a little slow?

www.cotusb.ford.com is the beta site used just before www.cotus.ford.com went live. I'd bet wwwqa.cotusb.ford.com is yet another testing/QA site, and likely isn't production.
