Yea that would make some sense and is probably the best case scenario at this point. The way I see it is this - between what mykrr and JarStang said, along with that pic, it appears that "customer cars" ie. retail special orders, won't go into production until 9/9, whereas dealer stock orders will start production Monday, 7/14. This is just my speculation.
That's because stock orders will be built for several weeks before the beginning of retail orders, but the stock orders will be held up for QC for a few weeks. Once QC is over, retail orders can start production and shipping will commence.Ford Service (Tricia/Deysha) told me that both stock and retail orders will be arriving at dealerships around the same time.
Ah, thanks for the explanation. That's because stock orders will be built for several weeks before the beginning of retail orders, but the stock orders will be held up for QC for a few weeks. Once QC is over, retail orders can start production and shipping will commence.
Anybody can play with MS Word and PowerpointThat's fine but I just don't understand what this is then --->

It has Ford's logo on there. Unless it was doctored (which I doubt based on the guy who posted it)..... what gives?
Did Ford provide dealers with wrong dates?
Freeagent has logic!!!!! hell yes!:hail:I'm just spitballing here but I would guess with the workers coming back to FRAP after their break and with production of the 2014's being over that they are going to start the slow transition into producing the 2015's starting on 7/14. I would think they would need training, demonstrations then finally start rolling a few down the line as "cutting their teeth" cars. I could see where this entire process would take the nearly 4 weeks until the 8/11 Job 1 date shown earlier. Its not like they can step in there and start cranking out Mustangs like nothing changed. By 8/11 I would think they would be ready to start full scale production. Again this is just my guesses but from looking at all this information (for which I'm grateful, I like hearing this insider stuff) I'd say I'm pretty close.
Ya'all have to quit whipping the pony. I posted earlier how production will be starting. Don't read into dates too much, they are ETICs(Estimated Time of Completion...note Estimated), production managers like to hit or beat them, but sometimes they slip due to unforeseen problems. I have waited many years for this Mustang and spent a lot of time managing production in the past. It isn't exact(but close), don't get pitch forks out to jab folks. The entire process is huge from the glass house down to the dealerships. There are hundreds of people who have to be choreographed to get you a car. I don't care where you work, look at the logistics behind getting you supplies and service if you need it. Now, look at Ford and all of their product lines, it's an amazing feat to get so many pieces working in harmony to crank out many cars a day. I used to tell the production guys who worked for me "Slow is steady, steady is fast" Meaning you start slow, make fewer mistakes, pass QC hurdles and before you know it your going faster than if you actually tried to go fast in the first place and turn out a better product. When your customer demands faster and you change your process by cutting corners and decreasing safety, you fail, your customer and your investor/owner.:amen:I'm just spitballing here but I would guess with the workers coming back to FRAP after their break and with production of the 2014's being over that they are going to start the slow transition into producing the 2015's starting on 7/14.
