2015 Mustang Paint Code Thread

The 2014 Mustang can be ordered in 9 colors, here is a list of the current offerings.

Ruby Red
Deep Impact Blue
Ingot Silver
Sterling Grey
Black (Ebony)
Grabber Blue
Got To Have It Green
Race Red
Oxford White

In the past, School Bus Yellow, Black Jade, Tri-Blaze Yellow, Mystic and countless other colors have been used. Ford also has a few other colors contracted through PPG and can be easily adopted. Here are some of those Fusion colors that are used on other vehicles.

Create a 9 color WISHLIST for the OEM offerings based on any of the 2014 colors. Then, pick a "Got To Have It" color from Mustang's past and a "Got To Have It" color that has never been used (Ford color or not, just never offered on a Mustang)...

I will have my 11 colors choices up soon... Also note, Ford typically has two Reds and two Blues... I could see those four colors being offered again.

Wishing they'd bring back the color of my 07'...Metallic Alloy Grey....which was only a 07' - 08' color. I'm told it wasn't very popular, but it was and still is my color of choice. I factory ordered my GT Alloy. I guess there aren't many Alloy's out there, which makes mine somewhat unique. I know I don't see many. My other 2 favorite colors are the blues.....Vista Blue and the newer Deep Impact Blue.

This is a good thread to start. I am totally wondering what the colors will be coming. My wife is as well. I'm so done with black I can't even begin to talk about it!

Not really muscle car inspiring models but I do like the following colors.

Ford Fiesta
(Blue Candy)
(Green Envy)

Dodge Dart
(Header Orange)

I am really not a fan of the Mustang colors right now other than White, Sterling Grey, and Gotta Have it Green. Black is fine of course but I'm sick of cleaning it.

To me the GHIG could pop just a bit more. I'm hoping they mix up some more vibrant versions of the palette.

Those are my favorites. You should also add the colors from other Ford cars not just Fusion. The mustang is really lacking a nice orange. I think this would look sweet on the s550.

The molten one has a nice metallic orange look to it and really stands out whether in direct sunlight or shade.

The recent Grabber Orange definitely leaned more towards yellow. The original Grabber Orange, as was on my 70 Mach 1, leaned more toward the orange side than yellow and was a much better color in my book.

Yea and speaking of they need to bring back schoolbus yellow. What's up with the lack of orange and yellows... the current color pallette is basically just blues, reds and shades of black/white.

Seems like Yellow and Orange are in high demand, if Ford has a contract with PPG for the color, any OEM offering is possible.

By the way, someone on here posted that the 50th anniversary is the gold anniversary so maybe they pulled schoolbus yellow to offer a more golden yellow for 2015. Just a thought.
