Expecting the price to remain as before...
MSRP (including destination and FDAF) = $38,160
X-plan ( " ) = $35,980.21

I have a NEW order number. Hope I make it.

The statement above is from one of our forum brothers who I believe has already taken delivery of his car, so this comment wont help him...

I'm not sure how the X-Plan works but the numbers he posted showed a 5.7% saving over MSPR, just FYI, I started my research by using TRUECAR, and used their promised price as a staring point for negotiations, this starting point was 6.7% below MSRP, and then I got one of the three dealers I was talking with to drop another $500 off that. So this is not a bad approach comparatively speaking.

Anyone else seem to be stuck in "In Production?" My Mustang completed "In Order Processing" on 10/24 and then went into "In Production." My EDD changed from 11/11 to 11/21, which is what is still showing. I suppose if production is completed this week, I'm still in good shape for delivery on or about 11/21.

Test drove a GT last Sunday at the dealership. Wow! Totally impressed with the car, although I've got to practice shifting. My last manual was my Harley. Before that, last manual was a truck back in the nineties. I'm sure after a week or so, I'll be rockin' thru the gears with no problems.

I do wish the power driver's side seat would lower a bit further. But I'll get used to it.

I am new here, but I have always had mustangs, Right now I have a 2004 Mustang GT 5 speed. also a 1998 Mustang GT convertible and just ordered a 2015 EcoBoost 1FA6P8TH6F5321354 competition orange Mustang! Cant wait. It says my build date was 10/29/14 so hope to see it soon!

:ford:
Wow! Quite a collection! Let us know how the EcoBoost drives compared to the 98 and 04 when you get it. I bought my daughter a low mileage V6 2000 convertible as her first car years ago, and it always felt like it was on tippy-toes when I drove it: high center of gravity, not connected to the road at all. Wide Michelins didn't help.

Yes, I've experienced the same. The COTUS page never showed a build date but then started showing, and still does show, an estimated delivery date. My delaership was able to confirm that the EDD is correct.

Awesome! I was getting worried that the EDD was too good to be true!

COTUS doesn't ever show a future build date. You'll go In Production several days before your actual build date, and it will come as a surprise. A day or two after you go In Production, the View Window Sticker button on COTUS will start to work. On your window sticker, you can find your Blend Date in little bitty type at the very top edge, near the middle, just off to the right.

The Blend Date is the day your whole car is at Flat Rock, in pieces. A day or two after that, you will go to Awaiting Shipment and there will be a completed date in In Production. It then takes a few days (usually 1 to 3) to go to In Transit, and then that time varies with how far you are from the factory and how lucky you are. COTUS seems to be a bit of a pessimist on EDD.

I ordered a Turbo Premium, w/Performance in Ruby through my lcl dealer on Oct 21. Within a week I had a VIN and COTUS shows an estimated delivery date of 24 Nov! I understand it's an estimate but can it it be that quick? My dealer quoted "end of Dec" as their est.

Just as a geewhiz: This is my second Mustang. I bought my first mustang in 1980, it was a 1978 Coupe II that blew up 6 months after I bought it. I bought from a Ford dealer and when I had it towed back and looked at they told me there was no warranty and the repair would be a "couple thousand." I was a young, dumb, serviceman so I just told them to keep that piece of crap and I've been driving Chevy's ever sense. But times do change and I think the Gen 6 Mustang is drop dead gorgeous so I'm coming back!

Thanks for the info re the blend date, Old 5 Oh. The sticker is showing a blend date number of 120141031, which I read as last Friday, October 31st. If that's correct, Ruby should be moving out of "In Production" this week and I might get her on or about 11/21. The excitement builds.

We have seen a few go that fast recently. You may be one of the lucky ones. Welcome back to the light!

They must be a day or two behind, I would expect you to be In Production with that blend date. But it will happen soon.
