Seriously, can you find out when/where the new Mustangs will be on display or at least tell the news center to update the schedule. Last update was 7 Jan 2014.

I was wondering my dealer told me that Ford pulled my order on 6/20/2014 and that my production date is set for 8/25/2014. However when I go to wwwqa.cotusb.ford.com and enter my order number and dealer code for some reason it doesn't show those dates. I can see my VIN number so far, will I have to wait before they update that information? Also, it would be really nice if you could get us HP and TQ numbers for the V6, Ecoboost, and 5.0 if you've heard anything or if you could ask someone . Thanks!

Since I'm bored...

If you consider that 1.3% of LE buyer have voted in the poll (26 of 1965), then extrapolating that out, there's roughly 2k orders for the EB and 10k orders for the GT.

No idea how close to reality that would be or not.

However, lets assume for the moment it's right.

How long would it take to churn out 14k cars (10+2+2)?

Of course, that's really not relevant to the question, now is it.

I thought there was some casual statement a couple weeks ago saying they'd publish that information in September. Although I bet people are hoping it gets leaked through some official channel before then. I'm certainly not holding my breath.

So I found out today that my car was switched from a Priority 10 to a 15. Yes emails sent aka: Why? Our friend on the inside says "your vehicle has a chance to schedule" I don't know how that makes me feel.

I talked to XXXXXX (who orders the Vehicle's) and this was his response.



The orders were prioritized based on model (the limited edition one was put up to priority 10 for several reasons). We did have 4 retail Mustang orders placed within a one week period, but whether it’s a 10 or 15 is not a huge factor. Allocation and commodities usually determine how fast something gets built rather than priority number. All the retail orders we have are different and one may get built ahead of another regardless of priority. 99.99% of the time we get our retail orders built as quickly as possible.





As you read the Limited Edition bumped the priority BUT that does not mean it will be here first.

^^^^This pisses me off because I was the one that had to hammer on them to order the car on the 20th. It took four days to get the car ordered because like many dealers they had no clue the banks opened up. I understand the LE took priority over mine because I am a X-Plan and the LE went for $20K over MSRP but....really? I fully understand the LE's might be built after mine due to content (limited commodities, special one off colors) but this has not been the best experience because to this particular dealer Mustang is just another unit. I only ordered from them because another did not respond and they actually let me test drive a Track Pack '14 (i.e. extended beat the piss out of it) so I felt obligated to give them a shot.

If they get their retail orders before mine I will be unhappy but as others posted that may be a good thing because they will get it out of their system. My hope is my basic 300A which has less content will build sooner than the others.

All of this will go away once I see a VIN, until then.... :frusty:

I don't think the priority should make much of a difference, but I certainly understand your frustration. Here's to hoping your order shows up earlier than expected!

I think you shouldn't expect that because you were first to order at your dealer, that you'll be first to be built.

From what I gather, being first in line makes relatively little to no difference at all wrt. the schedule.

Oh I know, I refuse to whine about weight/power so I have to whine about something ;) I'll keep an eye on it over the next few months and make sure it doesn't get 99'd LOL
