Awesome, that makes absolute perfect sense! I'm betting that without you knowing it, you got the same thing I did where your order got tossed into the dealer allocation order, so you'll be getting it when the car hits the lot instead of having to wait. That's just a guess, but I think it's a good one.
My sales rep hinted at that when he gave me the information. When I said October can't get here fast enough, he replied that it may be earlier. I hope so! But I'm leaving my expected delivery date at 10/1 to help me manage expectations. 125 days and waiting (plus or minus a month) :kickrock:

Unfortunately it didn't help me, I just tried my order number using IE, Chrome, Firefox AND Safari, but no luck.

I called Ford Service 800-392-3673 and asked her to check on my order. She told me something that I didn't know already, she told me that there are several vehicles on my order number - B001 from my dealership F24223 - and two of them are Mustangs. She said dealers often place multiple orders under the same order number and I won't be able to track my car through the website until I have a VIN. That may have something to do with why some people can see their status and others can't. How would that website know which car is mine if there are multiple cars on that order. Other dealerships may order each car individually, with its own order number. For those orders, it is possible to identify the vehicle and specific information. Just a guess.
My order number is similar to yours: R000. It is strange! You will be fine though. I would feel uneasy if it weren't showing, too. My first order was like 9998 I think. They already cashed my check. Did they cash yours?

R means Retail, from what I understand. Separates stock units versus customer ordered units even more.

No, but my dealer told me my check is refundable, and that they would not cash it. Ford service can see the order of the two Mustangs that were ordered on 520. And the dealership has a full record of my order. I've called both several times, so I am comfortable that it is my car on order. I think I am just being a bit anxious and impatient. 125 days and counting... (give or take a month) :kickrock:

I'm sure it is. That's nice that they didn't cash the check. The first dealer didn't cash mine, but when I got the better offer and went to the second place they did. Everything will work out. I'll tell you what though, I'm itching for those specs! Even though everybody who already placed their order, including me, probably already told themselves they would be content even if they barely changed (Coyote specifically). Even though we all want 50hp more and 200lbs off. The only way I could see myself backing out is if it swelled to like 4,000lbs and made the Challenger look anorexic.

I'm not worrying too much about the specs. I don't race, I just like to get up to speed quickly :headbang: I'm also good friends with a guy that makes a living tuning mustangs. Just mustangs, how about that. Anyway, he said he'd take care of me with a custom tune at cost once I've had my car for a bit and know what the factory tune feels like. They he will add the custom rom chip? And I should have like 50hp more than the factory tune. 350 hp on a EB4 should be plenty of get up and go :bolt:

No doubt! The EB is prime for tuning. You could get past 350hp I'd suspect rather easily. Don't know much about a chip, however, most tuning is done by plugging a handheld device into the little port you'll find under the driver side dash of any car 1996 and up. You can't beat the torque and horsepower available at 1,500rpm with the turbo, where it typically takes my car getting up past 4,000rpm before it really goes.

Anyone have a good experience ordering from a dealer in the Phoenix, AZ area? I've called 7 (SEVEN!) in my area and I'm getting all sorts of answers from "can't order until June 3rd", to "We have no order guides yet", to "we can order it but we don't know price", to "what is a ford mustang?", to "no xplan pricing for that car" and it goes on and on.
I ordered mine from San Tan Ford in Gilbert. Did my A plan order through them. Got my order confirmation sheet showing A plan pricing and everything. As for X plan, I'm pretty sure they were doing one for a customer when I went in there the other day. Just call them and ask for the assistant sales manager. He was the one who took my order. $1000 refundable deposit and took only 20 mins to complete.

Funny. Some dealers ask for 500 to 1000 deposit. And some no deposit. Is it a credit thing? Hmmmm? Maybe last year for V6. Only turbo 4 & 8 offered in Europe. Hmmm?

I had a dealer ask for 10% down NON-Refundable!!! on the fully loaded EB I want that would be about $3,500 deposit for x-price. that's insane!
I went with another dealer that did $500 refundable. Hopefully everything works out and I'll have it September/October. I can't wait.

You should have told the dealer to go screw himself. That's unbelievable. 10%!

I got a similar response my sales rep in NY. He said, based on experience I could be in for a surprise around August.

He said something about having two options, the normal tune for normal driving and the special tune for when I wanted the extra boost. He said something about a switch that would switch between the two different tunes. I am not sure, since this is my first Mustang and my first special tune. he also said that since none of the specs have been released he can not tell me much more. He just knows that he will still have a job after the new 2015 Mustangs are released :headbang:
