2015 GT premium ordered

I placed an order on 5/22 for a GT premium, 6 spd manual, ruby red, 3.55 diff, and premium trim. Had to deposit $500 and give them a copy of my driver's license. They said that Ford required that to try to prevent dealers from ordering cars under phony names just to stock inventory. I tried the website to track my order but it doesn't display yet. I may not have the correct dealer or order number.

hi thanks for your support. I've placed my order with my dealer and they have provided me with confirmation, but they say they don't need any money down and all they asked for were my name and telephone. Do you believe this order is secure.

As long as you have, or they send you, the vehicle order confirmation with your name on it, you should be fine. I'm not a dealer, but the goal here is for the dealership to sell cars. We are asking them to order cars for us, so there isn't reason to suspect they are looking to deceive us. The reason there isn't necessarily a need for a down payment, or proof of you, or your credit worthiness, is that if you don't show up to pick up the car, they will just sell it to someone else. No real loss. (Unless you order a 2014 GT Premium in Got To Have It Green. Did they actually sell any of those? JK)

Tracking has not worked for mine yet either, but I called FCS and they were able to see my Order Number in process from my dealership. I'm still anxious to see it (even though it will probably say exactly the same thing until sometime in August.)

It's glitchy. Mine worked today again after 3 days not working. Just tried again now and not working again!!!

It helps to know where you are. Here in Jacksonville Florida, you can order your Mustang with xplan pricing from AutoNation Ford Jacksonville. My sales rep was Roger Scott (904-588-5707). He was no stress, knew exactly what he was doing, and now my EcoBoost Premium is on order. Tell him Don Lafond sent you and I will buy you a beer when our cars come in. :cheers:
