That's a nice steering wheel! If we get as nice of leather as on the Jags I'll be more than happy.

Picture this, but with a pony instead of the cat, and with a ring around the same size as the current medallion of the steering wheel. This is what I picture/wish for for the S550 steering wheel:

This.

And I'll take an aftermarket racing steering wheel like the one in the C-X16 concept (more the size/shape than the materials). Love the gauges also

Hoping for some nice soft-touch plastics. Just sat in a Range Rover Evoque and that had the entire dash in the best feeling and looking soft touch materials I've ever experienced. Having a lot of soft touch materials also makes for more creak and squeak free interiors.

Replace that Jaguar with a silver Mustang, make it a bit smaller, and we have a perfect steering wheel :hail:

Seems like some people are looking for a luxury cruiser, not a Mustang. I wouldnt mind if they stripped the car of all creature comforts and put out an even better performing Boss.

Is this what we're all headed for?

LOL.

Here's two things they can improve on the interior. Those cheap ass doors with the cheap plastic door handles and door panels. At least give the GT an upgrade in this respect. And the ball shifter gets scorching hot if it gets any bit of sun. In TX weather, I have to wait a few minutes to even drive in the summer. How about a change in materials?

I agree that nicer interior bits would make the car more pleasant inside but that will ultimately drive the cost up. With the cost already thru the roof for a Mustang I think I'd rather Ford put money on performance than nice touchy feely pieces on the inside. I've ridden in euro cars, BMWs, Mercs, and recently the inside of a Bentley which has to be the nicest car interior I've ever seen, but you have to pay big money for that. When it comes to driving down a nice curvy road I'm not looking at the interior anyway, I'm looking out the windshield.

Totally agree. I've always thought they should keep the nicer interior touches for the halo model or maybe its time to bring back a luxury model. The thing I love about the Boss is it's no BS. I dont feel like I'm paying for all the fluff at the expense of performance. It should stay this way for most of the lineup that's priced under 35k IMO.

For the nicer finishes and bells and whistles, this is what premium/comfort/technology packages are for. Those who want the extras can shell out the dough for it.

My issue is with the stuff that wont be changed or added with a package. I'm talking telescoping steering wheel, keyless ignition, and a more usable back seat.

I doubt you'll see an improvement in back seat room with the next generation car if the rumors about it being smaller are true. Telescoping steering would be great though.

Do people really use the backseat for anything other than little children? And I gotta think most people with kids dont drive the Mustang around as a DD so you have minivans, SUV's and sedans for going to Costco and Home Depot. Those backseats are like jump seats and storage for me.

Your right though, they should just rear seat delete that whole thing if theyre going to make it even more unusable with a smaller Mustang in 2015.

Well for some of us its not an option to drive a minivan for groceries. It's my hobby but I do it at the expense of being practical since I do have a family so the backseat does get used.... for people :)

That said, I think redesigning the car doesnt necessarily have to make the backseat totally unusable or even smaller. They can just remove some of the bulky overhang from the rear (and maybe less so from the front) without impacting the backseat or cargo space.

Good point. Rode in a friends BMW 325 and it has an incredibly roomy rear seat area, lots of leg and head room compared to the Mustang. It's smaller in every dimension and weighs less than the Mustang but it's bigger inside. They could do it if they wanted to.

+1

Or how about some slimmer seats that we always see in the concepts? Never understood why those never make it into production, or at least some form of it.
