Did you notice the speed, tach, and other dashboard pieces? The speedo and tach are from the Fusion, which soon will be built in the same factory as the S550. There is some degree of commonality there, along with the Explorer center stack. This is a way to save money.
And the Fusion and S550 will be going down some parts of the same assembly line... as the current Mustang was doing with the Mazda6 until last year.
What I really want to see is for Ford to move the speedo and tach closer together, and use a smaller and more thickly padded steering wheel (instead of the bumper car design currently used). We're seeing the better Fusion design in the prototypes... but it's still not enough.
