Looking for some help, I have went the google research route, some forum digging and just getting too much conflicting information so Im here to ask what I thought would be easy to find questions and answers.
I have a 2015 Mustang GT manual, the pcm failed one of the coil drivers, confirmed by opening the PCM to see the driver is shorted. I am now looking to replace the pcm all together, while researching I havent found anything that answers my questions directly.
1. Can I get any pcm from ANY 2015-2017 mustang to replace it?
If I cant get any pcm, how would I know what PCM is compatible or is new the only option?
Can a used pcm have the VIN changed?
If so, is a dealership the only way to have it reprogrammed?
Thanks for any responses.
