The Guard is now at Ft Lauderdale Convention Center for the Int'l Auto Show.... today through Sunday.
Oh man. I was so hoping for the Triple Yellow. But I guess Guard will do for now. Can't wait to see it later today!:clap2:

Heading to the NOLA show in about an hour. I'll post which model they've got.

Grey convertible ecoboost performance pack at the NOLA show. I got photos but it's the same one posted one page back with the bad soft top trim.

Here's another from the Fort Lauderdale show going on this weekend. It's a Guard Premium EcoBoost with technology package. This picture is the closest I could get to real life color.

NOLA had a grey convertible I4, but not the PP. No black wheels and no boost gauge.

I noticed the seems were very tight except the hood on the passenger side was really out of place. Don't know if it was damaged or what.

The red Stingray Corvette was getting all the love, but everyone did seem to like the Mustang as well. The Mustang would probably have gotten more attention, but it was roped off and you couldn't sit in it like the Corvette.

The Mustang was definitely better in person. Very nice car. Back awesome, front awesome. and the 20 inch wheels really filled the wheel wells. There was a near by for comparison. The wheels on the front of the 14 looked like they were extremely far inside the wheel wells compared to the 15. Really made the 14 look bad in that aspect.

The interior was improved and very nice. The best interiors in my opinion were the Scion, Lincolns, Cadillac's and Mustang as far as quality and appeal. The Focus ST had a really cool and sporty interior as well, but not as expensive feeling as the others.

One of the trends I noticed was the interior use of black glossy painted materials, especially in the Cadilacs. It is very much like the back of the Mustang. That is one thing I really like about the Mustang. The gloss black area on the back really makes the chrome pony "pop" due to the contrast.

The two things I though could be improved:
The aluminum on the dash looked like cheap aluminum to me, only slightly better than the cheap plastic in the 14. If they put some of the black gloss trim across the dash in place of the aluminum, it would really make the chrome around the vent bezels pop, especially on a PP with the extra gauges.

Also. the area around the cup holders looked a little cheap. The Fusion that was on display had the black gloss paint in this area which looked much much better.

The 20 inch wheels were very nice. I wish they would offer them on the PP with the gun metal gray areas painted black. That would be killer.

One thing I want to say, is that I sat in the Corvette. It took a while to get myself in with quiet a bit of effort. Once in though, the seat was very tight and you could tell it was a sports car made for speed. The interior as well as the interior on the Camaro ZL1 was very cheap. The ZL1 was perhaps the cheapest looking interior in the show and the Corvette only marginally better but still at the bottom. The exterior of the Corvette was really great though. But all in all, after seeing the price of the Corvette was 69K or over 75K with taxes, it left me in awe of the Mustang GT which can perform almost as well at a little over 30K. The base GT, although I haven't seen it in person, definitely has a better interior than the Corvette. I have no complaints about the exterior of the Corvette, but for that price, I thought is should perform much better and have a much better interior. To me, it just highlighted the value of the Mustang.

As for the Nissan GTR, Now I know why they call it Godzilla. It is a monstrosity of ugly on the outside.

Anyway, just my take on it.

^Nice write up, thanks for sharing your impressions.

I would actually be curious to see what black gloss would look like in place of the aluminum as you suggested. It would definitely look less cheap but I think it would lose that aviation inspired look they are going for and might work best on a vehicle with a luxury trim - i.e. lincoln, titanium trim etc. Some good food for thought though.

Oh wow completely forgot the PP comes with black mesh 19's. The 20's are just optional then I'm guessing?

Yes, I thought of that too. a little loss of the aviation theme, but would also match the back end. I also thought of just a black strip where the bezels are. I'm not sure what would look best without actually seeing it, but I think it could be improved. I bought my daughter an 07 some years ago and there were just a very few made that had the darker material across the dash, but they looked many times better that the light colored material.

Yes, I think the 20 inch wheels or an option or come standard on the premium package.

I won't be able to go until Friday, but I probably won't go unless it's one of the colors I'm considering.
