This is terrible but echoes my experience thus far, escalating up the chain seems to go nowhere, you are contacted by a slightly higher paid customer support person who won't have all the information and cannot make decisions, trying to appeal further up the chain is met with a firm "No."

Sorry man.

Yes sir I dealt with a regional manager which was polite kind of but useless no info and no mechanical knowledge and you could tell ever time I spoke with her she wanted to rush off the phone. I NEVER heard from them when they said I would all they do is call waste my time they never had info to give me just say ok. Only thing good that came out of it is they paid my monthly bill which if I was you I would push to have done. Hope you get your car squared away good sir and she gets back home safe and sound and in good condition.

Just lost the clutch in my GT with 7005 miles on it. I have driven manual transmission cars all my life so it wasn't driver error. It couldn't have happened at a worse time either it left me stranded 300 miles from home while on a business trip. The good news is that even with headers a full exhaust system a JLT cold air intake and catch can MSD coil packs and aggressive tuning the dealership the car is at is going to warranty the whole repair. I couldn't be happier with that just sucks to have gotten stranded while outta town. Talked with the service writer today and if all goes smooth I'll have the car back tomorrow night and be on my way home.

Even without any mods, if your clutch is physically broken, Ford does not want to warranty it. However, they are supposed to warranty clutches outside of 'normal wear and tear'. When the clutch fails outside of normal wear and tear, they still don't want to warranty it.

My ACT clutch on my Evo just fell apart, it probably had maybe 20k miles, never dumped, driven like a granny. I was just cruising to Taco Bell and it started making noise. I limped it home, when they opened it up the clutch just fell apart in pieces. I wrote ACT on this one, of course no response from them.

So sometimes shit just breaks without abuse, but I think on a wearable item it may be hard to prove.
