Was sitting at a stop sign and a 72 yr old Granny turned off the highway into my lane and hit me dead on. Her insurance called me and said they were pretty sure they were going to total it. Their adjuster is going to go over it Fri. It was a beautiful Guard Green Premium Performance Pack automatic. I loved it. I worked a long time and paid for two colleges and a wedding before i bought it. Oh well.The compass destroyed me!
They called me and told me based on their models, to expect it to be totaled. Their adjuster hasnt looked at it yet, so you may be right. One thing limiting the value might be the mileage...110k. Otherwise it looks and runs nearly new and has new tires.
I feel it's a shame how cars today end up totaled before their time. This happens because some shops will get more money if a car is not totaled and they can overwrite the car and get away with it which screws the owner also because they end up with a salvage title and the adjuster gets screwed for not totaling the car it's a bad situation all around.The compass destroyed me!
Plus the inflated prices that the car manufacturers charge for parts cause repairs to be much more expensive than they should be.
