Curious, if you were to build the block and had a tune, and a catch can, would that eliminate almost any fear of the engine blowing with a good tuner and a stock turbo?

Stock Original Unaltered Early build engine, UPR catch cans, Vargas Stage 2 Turbo, Lund Racing Tuned. Im on E85, but point being if you keep the knock out of the engine with good fuel, these little 2.3s are pretty damn tough !!

Is there any down side to running e85 in our Ecoboost?

Timing chain cover...yup, had that leak. Small, but irritating to have on a newish car.
Is that what this is? damnit i just noticed that too if it is

Adam stated that he found rod bolt torque numbers to be all over the place while disassembling an early motor. That would suggest the rod torque tool was malfunctioning at some point as all the torque numbers were different from the other.
There has been a Cleveland Engine failure, see the Ecoboom thread. Motor built in Cleveland. March 24th 2015.
