I heard from a Ford Performance rep at Mustang Week that two cooler solutions were in the works. One a lower cost version, less than 1k minus pumps, and the other a tranny swap costing a lot more. This endorses all of the other bits and pieces of information that is similar coming from multiple sources.

According to the rep, the lower cost solution should be in the street literally any day or within weeks. Just passing what I heard as this is of interest to us tech pack owners. I hope their is light at the end of the tunnel now.
Interesting information, thanks for passing it along. When I talked with Ford Performance in early June it was the transmission swap that would be ready any day. Yet here we are in last week of July and it's not been officially announced. I wouldn't put much weight in any timeframe communicated. Hopefully we'll see something soon. I'm crossing my fingers in hopes it there is an ECU flash that turns on transmission temp monitoring in the dash for any option.

I'm guessing (just a guess) that the trans & diff temp functions in the dash are present when the coolers are in place. Perhaps there is a temperature regulator that operates are a predetermined value and the temp sensors are needed for that???

I know right? Adding in the stupid display for the stupid sensor that's already on there would be the *least* they could do to help out owners. This is typical Ford Performance on their products though, "it'll be out really soon!" Months later, still nothing.

Was at my dealership a few days ago and looking at a few ´17 Shelby's they had in the showroom when a salesman came up to me and asked if he could be of any help !!!!

Explained to him about the cooling issues with base/tech cars and told him quite a few people were waiting on a solution from FP.

Then he goes on to say if i wanted to trade in my '16 for a base '17 that he would give me whatever my sticker price was for my '16.

Very tempted to jump ship if Ford doesn't come up with a solution soon.

And no ADM on the '17??? If someone offered me sticker for my car for a trade-in on a new '17 without an ADM, I would take that offer.

My dealership doesn't charge ADM's on regular 350's. Not the same story for R's though. The black '17 R sitting inside the showroom right now sold for $130K cad. :eyebulge:

$8K cad difference in price if i get the '17

if you were in the US i would be calling you to arrange a trip to that dealer. Seriously, grab a 17.
Will be having a discussion with wifey soon. Only downside is having to part with the car right now and go through ordering process again and getting it at end of summer, which is a bummer. So many cars shows coming. :(

Honestly, do it if you get an opportunity like this. There's actually no reason not to. You will be coming out ahead.

If I had the chance to not spend anymore money out of pocket and get a 17, I would do it today. Even though DIB is my favorite color and I have my car the way I want it right now just cant pull off the window tint and the clear bra...
