You don’t want to know
Make a thread. Document the time, scenario, outside temp. Have the moderators not allow any other post. If you have a large enough data set forward that to ford. If you dont you know the issue is being over stated.
Based on past surveys and registration information, way fewer than 10% of all GT 350 owners post here. And an even smaller percentage are having problems. At this time, that number probably isn't statistically significant. It has nothing to do with the perception or reality of the problem to people suffering from it.

You'd have just as little luck filing a claim with NHTSA, saying that the car needs to be recalled and repaired due to a sudden and unexpected loss of power that makes the car unsafe to drive.

The only thing that's going to make a difference is having cars that have gone into limp mode show up at dealers, so they can be accurately tallied.

I see no reason to not do both. I mean we have Daysa?(Order status guy) so these forums have weight.

Why do I need low end tq for the 1/4 mile?
I don't know. Ask all the people that do the 1/4 mile driving. They seem to be all upset that the GT350 didn't have lowered torque and that was a major reason why it's 1/4 mile time was less than stellar.

But what do I know, I wasn't as start as you were to by a track pack car. (Sarcasm)

Well just to clarify; because I wouldn't want anyone "firestarter" questioning my integrity. I am currently in Qatar but my family and my GT350 are in Germany. I car was also delivered 2 months after I left. So I haven't even gotten to drive it.
I'll expand my thanks to all who are serving this country, wherever you are on or off this planet :usa:

I feel your pain about not driving it. Mine was delivered on 12/10/15 and the roads were already salted. At the request of the dealer, I let them display it over the next two months in their heated show room with enthusiastic staff watching it all the time. When I finally drove it, it was under a quarter mile to my garage and it sat there until the salt finally cleared (we timed that drive after a late winter rainstorm). I have to say, cooler crap notwithstanding, the car is a blast to drive!! My limited 'spirited' drives are unlike any car I've driven and I appreciate all the conveniences of my Tech pack.

I've purposely have not driven it to induce limp mode or time my drives that might trigger it (heavy stop and go....) because, as with a bunch of things with this car, there's no solid info out there about limp mode or extended high trans temps.

After tonight (my OBDII scanner is currently on my doorstep waiting for
me to get there) I'll now be able to monitor my trans temp and have a better understanding of what's going on. I expect my driving might become more 'spirited' and I might give an HPDE a try depending on what I see.

Tune out the noise, it's a bunch of BS anyways. Depending on when you get back to your family and car, everything could be all set!!

Thanks again- gotta be hot as hell over there...

If ford only gives me one real choice for coolers and that's the "new trans" option, then I'm going to drive the hell out of the trans I have now until I save a few penny's to get a new trans.

1030 at night and it's still 99 F. Usually between 105 and 115 F highs.

It's so hot the "breeze" feels like a hot blow dryer.

So my 30 minutes break between drives ended up being 2 1/2 hrs. The trans had cooled down to 126 from 198 for a difference of 72 degrees. The car was parked on a paved lot in the sun during the cool down. The drive back home was 34 miles of mostly highway in 94 degree weather. I've attached a picture of my gauge readouts as soon as I pulled in the garage.

See if you can get limp and see what temp that is.

Keep your RPMS between 4000-5000 2,3,4th gear. You should find limp mode fairly easily. Hour or less, certainly if it is a warmer day out.
