Same bolt on's, longtubes full exhaust cold air. Went to the same Tuner. Oh, he has 1 3/4 headers and I have 1 7/8. 14 gt left me in the dust on a roll. Is it the header size that gives him the advantage and weight? Are the 14s that much faster then the 15. I had a buddy of mine in a 12 with a Bama tune and cold air, we were damn near door to door

Definitely not header size 1 7/8" make more power than 1 3/4" even on a NA coyote. His car is likely lighter weight or maybe he's a better driver. My base 13 GT came in at 3400lbs my premium 16 GT is 3900lbs and I can feel the weight difference.

I have raced several 14's I'm my area with the same mods as me E85 CAI, and I have 1 3/4 headers and they had off road no cats and I put 2 to 3 cars on them from a 40 roll, one of them was a performance pack car both with very good drivers. I was even on heavy 20's and they were on factory wheels with drag radials. I think people under estimate these cars sometimes.:headbang:

Both 6 speed. Mine made 448 then I put it on the dyno a couple of months ago and it lost 8hp. I don't know if it was temp or just the time of day lol. His made 440hp. We both have 20s. Mine are actually a little lighter thenote his wheels

I switch around 6500 once tach turns red I bang the next gear. I noticed on my SCT x4 it says my rev limiter is at 7000 maybe I should tell my Tuner to set it at 7300 or 7500?

If you're a GTPP, roll from 20 in 1st. Right there in the beginning of the power band.

Thanks. Yeah I have the PP I also have 20 inch wheel with a 315 35 20 tire on the rear. I herd since the sidewall of the tire is so tall it takes some gear out of the car. Instead of a 3:73 it dumbs it down to a 3:55. If I where to go with a thinner sidewall like a 305 30 20, I would pick up speed and be quicker. Is that true?

I have 331 gears so I am in 2nd gear at around 4000rpm at 40 give or take. I have not been able to race them from a 20 because I blow the tires with street tires. we were all tuned by the same guy as well. the 315 tire is a large tire and heavy that could cost you as much if not more than a car length from a stock size tire.

I'm on stock size tires. I have some spinning, but it's not too bad. Rolling 40 in second, doesn't put you in a good position, since you'll be shifting with in a second or two. And the 2/3 shift is the worst.

Do u think I should go down to a lower profile like a 30 instead of a 35? 305 instead of a 315?
