Stage 2 F1a Procharger is on its way for my 18. If just put 19” drag radials on my existing rims will that be good enough at the track or do I need to get 17” rims and tires to get more sidewall?

Good enough is a relative question. If your some kind of hard core racer. 17s are best. Is a 10th worth 2 grand to you?

Whatever you can fit on your stock rims will be nowhere near enough. A 10-11" wide 17" with at least a 305 tire.

Im running 11" SVE 350 rims right now with 325/30/19 Coopers right now and they are fine for my stock power. With the procharger coming F1a and methanol, I want to hook if I go to the strip. So the question is will i be able to hook with the 325/30/19 Mickeys? or should I get 17" rims and a 305/45/17 Mickey? Will there even be a difference? Or will I need a 15" tire to hook? My car is 10r80.

It would be nice to just buy tires for the 19" SVE 350s and call it a day but I want to hook and go!

Ah! Thought you meant stock wheels.... 325/30/19 coopers<325/30/19 mickeys<305+17"mickeys<305+15"mickeys. IMO

The only reasons people run 17s is weight. And secondly. A smaller diameter tires will have more sidewall. That side wall will wrinkle and absorb a little of the hit on launch. Your car will hook just fine on the 19s. I run a paxton with a stall. And sixty fine on 18 inch drag radials.
