15’ With 18’ intake, 47#, CAI and my next upgrades will be a stall converter and gears. Per the Vin, I have 3:31’s. Now Steeda is showing 3:73’s, so why are the 1/4 cars not going deeper like the 4:10/4:56’s etc? I plan to stay NA, I am not a roll race guy by any means. Running 29-12.5 DR
Thoughts?

Get the converter in then re-evaluate gears. 1, and 2nd already very deep converter will make it act like 4.10

  • 6th Gear: 0.69
Based on 11-14 specs. Don't believe the gearing changed post 15 until the 10R80 came out in the 18+. Read threads and saw time slips from guys running 4.10's with a 4C Circle D converter (don't recall dia) on another forum. With an E-85 N/A tune they were finding high 10's with this setup and the correct suspension and tires to make it happen.

Steeda is running higher than a 3.73 now. Back up from a 4.09 at one point.

Yes, 29”T x 12.50”W x 17” on a 10.5” wide rim

My tuner is the one that ordered the tires, I am not sure of the specific reason. TBH, I never asked, I know on some of the races here they limit height and width so I will buying another set of rims/tires-shorter and more narrow.
I ran the vin# and it is showing the car came with 3;31’s which appearantly is rare? 2015’s only had 3:15’s and 3:55’s
Do you think the 29” is killing out of the hole power?

the 29" tire is certainly not helping you. Get a 28" tire like the rest of the racing world and I wouldn't bother swapping gears either. I ran 4.10's and while the car was about 1/10 faster with the 4.10 it wasn't great for driving around with especially on the highway. 3.55 are a good compromise especially if there may be Boost in your future. 3.31's are a very good all around gear and it would be a waste to switch to 3.55's

28" is the biggest I would go if I were you, even the blower cars run that diameter so the 29" is definitely hurting you NA. I'd do converter and change your tyre, then see if you still think you need gears after that.

yellow 2016 5.0 totaled white 2018 A10 now
I had 3.55s with a CJ mani on my 2016 and that thing was killer up to like 130mph.

40mph rolls were an absolute riot.

I wanted to put a 5c converter in that car but it was totaled.
