Mine was too for about the first 10k miles, then slowly over the last couple thousand it started doing this. So that's why I feel it could still be hardware related but that seems weird to happen with such low miles. I never beat on it, it's seen the Rev limiter 3 times and only because I accidently hit the paddle shifter while turning and didn't realize.

I know people beat the everliving shit out of them and don't see failures till 30-40k.

But again, fingers crossed, it's been great since disabling the adaptive learning.

New or even just 3000 miles the trans behavior in the MUSTANG is appalling. It's much better though not perfect in the F150. I had Unleashed massage the TCM in my truck and it got even better. But yeah the Camaro tune is something else. SHAME and POX on Ford who just needs to pay millions to GM and license it and put this corporate embarrassment to bed.

Just an FYI.. since disabling my buddies adaptive learning on his 10r80.. it shit the bed. Apparently without it learning, it was applying wrong line pressures @ WOT.

Now I feel bad, so I have to give him my 10R80 I scored on the cheap a couple years ago.

WHY on earth would FORD tie A/L with WOT line pressures is beyond me.

First order of business.. CHUCK that stock VB piece of sh!t.
Second... torque converter.

Do you know this for a fact or could it just be a shitty coincidence?

Could be. Looking at his log shift pressure was 30% low, which cooked the clutches . ran good prior. So can't say 100%.

Well fuck. Did you happen to check pressures prior?

I did not.

Just thought I'd get it out there just in case there's something too it.
So keep a careful eye on yer 10R80's.
How long after disabling did it happen?

60 160 miles or so.
Damn that's fast. Guess I could try and replicate it since Ford said there's a problem and already planned to rebuild it lol

I think I'll do that too! Joking. But I have a brand new '23 with 150 miles on it. Super hard shift from 3-4 and 4-5 when in sport or sport+ with light throttle. Bought it with this condition, it had 34 miles on it but I didn't realize it until after I purchased. I was told that this qualifies for TSB 23-2250, which is basically a rebuild. But I was hoping to avoid that by wiping the tables and turning the adaptive learning off. Jeez...

That’s odd, I thought the harshness was somewhat fixed with 22+ models. I drove a brand new ‘23 before I got my car. I didn’t really notice anything jerky with it, but then again I was more focused on all the options it had
I think in my case, some one went on a test drive and dogged the crap out of it when the trans was trying to "learn". I looked at the g meter prior to driving it and someone took a right hander at 1.59 Gs, that's not slow.

Ended up turning the adaptive back on and it's back to driving like shit lol. I did talk to Anthony Ballard at signature speed in NC and he can probably rebuild these things blindfolded.

He said he's never heard of a trans blowing due to turning it off and didn't seem to think it had anything to do with WOT line pressures.

That trans that blew after turning it off may have simply been coincidence 😕 I don't know though.

Ford dealer can't get my car in for a rebuild until mid October and I'm pretty pissed about that. Now my wife says I have to move the ess kit out of the kitchen if I'm gonna be waiting that long 😂

I’ve had my turned back on for close to a week now. Car definitely is smoother overall with normal driving but less aggressive in sport+
Ya im almost feeling the fact it drives great with it off and shitty with it on, and that most CDF drum failures are at like 40k plus, im starting to think the CDF issue is not whats going on. Feels like a tuning thing.
