[?] '18 Intake Manifold on '15-'17

So after talking to AdrinMAK, they had the same issue as some of use throwing a p2005 all they did was shut down the code. He did write me back and he is right it does not effect the dyno at all but as far as daily driving you notice it under part throttle and you do lose a few mpg, I'm locked out since I could not figure out why I'm throwing a P2005 but voltages does make sense being different open and closed. Hope they can change the tune for that I just emailed Lund and asked if its possible.

Edit: also picked up 3mph in the quarter with this manifold but I'm also ported.

There is nothing more frustrating than going through all the work to figure something out and posting the answer, only to have to keep reposting the answer for people who are too lazy to read back a few pages. On top of that, it gets infuriating when you are considered a jerk for referring people back to the answer as if you should have the time on your hands to happily do this each time.

That said, once a definitive solution has proven to work, I think a new thread with that solution should be posted with links here to that thread. That way people don't have to read through as much. I'm very interested in this mod for my car as well and I've been following this thread closely.

Yeha the 18 manifold has 1 selanoid where the 15-17 has 2. You have to wire the 2 together and should be good . Put the green wires together and than the white and yellow together and plug it in

I just talked to lund and they said my problem is fixed and imrcs are functioning and no codes or anything ! No rough idle car runs like a champ ! I ended up wiring the 2 blue plugs together . Each plug has a geeen wire you tie them together than one is while and the other is yellow tie them together and follow my pinout paper and that the vacuum line picture and everyone should be set !

Can someone put this in the Original post, maybe the OP or a mod, it should help with a lot of the questions.

I think the problem is with 50+ pages of conflicting information it's easy to overlook one or two posts and then have people call you lazy that you didn't see said one post. And then others write paragraphs about how you're lazy for missing one post in 51 pages with conflicting information. Sorry for looking for clarification.

Lund gave me a specific tune for the 18 manifold but made no revision or correction for the P2008/2011 codes. My tuner suggested that I wire the blue connectors together like raporgabe has mentioned. My didn't mention that he could tune out the second loose connector nor did he offer to do so. So I wired the connectors and ran with the orginal tune he sent. No trouble codes and a huge seat of the pants boost in midrange and top end torque. There is no perceptible loss of low end either!!

Good to know. I'm very interested in going this route. May have to go with Lund or AED to make the most of it (also with some 47 lb injectors and FF).

Are you stripping the rubber off and soldering them together? Are you stripping the rubber off and wrapping the metal of 1 connector around the other? Something else??

A brief tutorial with pictures would be very much appreciated. MustangLou's right, "wiring the connectors together" might suffice for someone who's been knee-deep in this mod for a time, but for a newcomer, it's not very useful at all without pictures or a diagram for the vacuum lines and wiring mods.

Exciting news for me guys!! I wired my two blue connectors together and no more P2008/2011 trouble codes!!! This car is a freaking rocket ship now!! Hopefully this will clear up a lot of the questions. The 18 manifold can be run with working IMRC’s on a Lund tune with no driveability issues and no check engine light and tons of extra midrange and top end power!! There is some wiring that has to be done and you’ll have to adapt the vacuum lines but it is worth it!!

Holy hell, it freakin pulls like freight train!! I redid some of the vacuum lines and modded the evap valve to clean things up a bit and now it looks almost as good as it runs. I’ll try to have the write up posted by this weekend. If you’re on the fence about this mod, go ahead and pull the trigger. It’s like a whole new car again!!

Awesome news! PLEASE could you enlighten those of us patiently waiting to do this mod with some pictures/diagrams of what your wiring and vacuum setup looks like. Having wrestled with the problem for a while, you are intimately familiar with the necessary details while we are pretty much in the dark. Thanks in advance.

Mine came in today. Still wondering on how to wire up the wiring with stock harness. Are new pigtails required? Lockouts are starting to look pretty tempting lol.
