just to follow up: Day 9, only 208 miles. Still breaking in, but have gone up to 4,000rpm a handful of times seems good. Short commute to work so going to start driving around more for the fun it.

went into the dealership about the e-brake handle and first thing i did was look inside the all black gt350 they have (sold but they'd probably take a higher offer) and the e-brake handle was up about where mine is. talked to the fleet manager and a service tech, they all said yeah you have to pull the mustang's up higher. i was used to the '13 and really other cars, where you could only pull it up 2-4" before it was really tight. i looked a mustang on the lot and it's handle was up as high as mine too. so no problems! it holds for sure and i was probably exaggerating about the floor to rear window thing ha!

anyway all seems well! it's been so cold here, today first day in the double digits F (12). got some moaning a couple of days after leaving it out but that generally went away after about 5 miles of driving. happened up near 40mph. best part is, any issues it's under warranty! so not worried.

best purchase evAR!

Pull that pedal spring!! It took me about 6 months to feel comfortable driving mine. After 14 months now, I feel at home. I do still get un-nerved with the asshole non driving idiots around here. Just this morning on the way to work someone put their truck up on its side and all tangled in the interstate barrier wires. As soon as I got past that wreck, two trucks and a compact car got into an altercation on the green flag and caused the caution to come back out. Dumbasses! Slow the fuck down and put the damned phone away and do your Twitterbookin' later!!
It looked like a scene from Mad Max.

I inadvertently laid down rubber while shifting into 2nd gear as I was negotiating a lane change. And that was at somewhere around only 3K RPM. Still in strict break in mode.
That $1.69 premium gallon gas really has a kick!

good car... glad i did it! it's a base gt pp, only thing i really miss is the sun shade programmable garage door opener and i didn't realize there was no backup warning even though it has the rear view camera. oh and the lid over the drink holders.
Did they remove the backup warning from the 2016s? Mine beeps when I start getting close to something and changes to a solid tone when very close.

Reverse park assist is an option--as it has been for the 2015's, too.

Just for the record, if you want back up warning you need to order the Reverse Sensing System for $275. I took the plunge, and I appreciate having it back there. Makes it easy to know if you really can back up another two feet without a problem.

Also, be a big spender and buy the LED back up light from Diode Dynamics and see clearly what you are about to back into. Takes about 3 minutes to install. You will be thankful you did.

In my new GT.....I find that my size 10 foot frequently just skimming the brake pedal when I depress the clutch. Never had this problem before over decades of driving manual shift cars and trucks. I wonder if the pedals are closer together than 'usual.' Anyone else experiencing this?
I had this same issue, but I found making my seat higher up pretty much eliminated that.

I looked at my left foot as I touched the "brake pedal."
I saw that the side of my foot was actually just touching the brake pedal support arm. The arm has a wide left hand offset to clear the steering column. After two weeks of ownership, I am getting some muscle memory to keep my foot a bit to the left to clear the pedal support.

In this photo, you can see my left foot on the clutch pedal just touching the brake arm.

so now after having said no problems, the other morning i had my foot out of position and felt/depressed the brake pedal a bit. i knew right away that the clutch pedal was not under the ball of my foot, or big toe just be the feel. after i stopped i felt that brake pedal bar. but yeah, no problems "normally" because i just naturally push the clutch down so it's under my toe area.

Not really sure how you're doing this. You might need to sit closer to the wheel so you naturally bend your knees more and thus turn your feet out. I can't say I've ever touched the brake pedal when pushing in the clutch and I wear a size 13, and am 6 foot.
