it's starting to grow on me! (i have a hard time with change hehe)

feels tighter all around (despite being on winter tires), smaller steering wheel compared to the '13 gt i had, lower seating position but ugh, about the same headroom, seems like better outward visibility. way more support which is good! willl take a week for my body to adjust to it.

clutch is way too light compared to my '13, i think they get a bit heavier over time, but i'm also thinking about removing the assist spring. gear shift seems really light too, even in 8 degree weather sitting out all day. all good though, think it'll all break-in.

throttle pedal seems good, a little more something? i don't have to mash it as far to get a quick blip of the rpms. also, rpms don't seem to hang like it did on my '13.

OH - so what is up with the emergency / parking brake? seems like i pull it from the driver's side floor up and back into the rear window! does this tighten up after a while? haha..

good car... glad i did it! it's a base gt pp, only thing i really miss is the sun shade programmable garage door opener and i didn't realize there was no backup warning even though it has the rear view camera. oh and the lid over the drink holders.

Congrats!

I prefer the light clutch peddle. Get into heavy traffic, and lighter is better

Could use more headroom, but its better than sedans with a moon-roof

your parking brake too loose ? Mine takes a bit of effort to pull it past one click

they do make backup sensors, which would be cool, but you don't normally see those on dealer lots unless getting Premium, and even then its only sometimes.

In my new GT.....I find that my size 10 foot frequently just skimming the brake pedal when I depress the clutch. Never had this problem before over decades of driving manual shift cars and trucks. I wonder if the pedals are closer together than 'usual.' Anyone else experiencing this?

Stock the clutch pedal does feel terrible and way too light imo. Simple 30 second mod fixes that though. Just remove the clutch assist spring. Night and day difference. Feels infinitely better!

The little Mustang has stepped up into modern car quality and performance from the factory. It's good to see.

ok another note... 1. the leather wraps over the spokes where your thumbs go on the steering wheel! how nice is that especially in winter. 2. if you set a gauge on the info screen such as oil temp, it stays there after turning the car off and back on!

I leave the gauge view up with all them listed as i like seeing all those parameters. I just have to select again after i turn it off. I wish it would stay on that screen or do a screen like the one with 4 seperate block with mpg and miles driven and miles to E.

I like to keep the gauge view up all the time. I like the cylinder head temp, but I would prefer the oil pressure and oil temp be a real number as well.

Grue, I'd say your parking brake didnt leave the factory with proper adjustment. It should take some decent effort to pull up and only move 4-6" to set.

oh no, i can pull it 8-10". i'll stop by the dealer and have them take a look. i tried it a couple of times pulling it all the way up like to do, and it does hold. i normally leave the car in gear also. but yeah, in the '13 gt it was tight and only went up about 4-6". thanks.

Pay close attention to the transmission. Not trying to scare you just want your opinion. I'm at 2200 miles.

Looks like Dorsch Ford of GB in one of your pics. I'm just a few miles south of you in Little Chute.

tranny and shifting is good. a little mechanical or clicky but good. i am aware of issues users have had since 2011. ive not had them. well, in very cold weather within the first 1-3 mins of starting to drive ive had three or four grinds going from 4-5 accelarating up to 45mph. no lock outs, missed a gear due to narrow gates once or twice. but otherwise ok. like i said this new car is a lot less effort even when sitting out all day in the cold. but so far its only been aroud -2F. but yeah so far so good like the '13.
