So I know that I have a limiter set for 120 on my car. I was gonna get it tuned by a friend of mine once I add on my xpipe to my outlaws. I also know that the v6 shares the same drive shaft as the gt. So I'm wondering why people are saying that the v6 will have some troubles after 130. Is it cause of the cooling or linkages?

That's for 2011-14 model due to driveshaft issues. For our v6, it's due to the speed rating of our tires

Alright. And I'm getting a tune once my xpipe gets installed. Got a buddy of mine who does a mean tune and don't need the sct for it either

This thread again, eh? It has been brought up beforw, and the main limitation is tires. The base tires are rated for 130mph if I recall correctly. If you have the appropriate tires you're fine for above 130

Sounds like a bad idea to me. So you have to ride around tuned at all times with no option to flash to stock when u go in for routine maintenance, or when you don't have 93oct available, or if you have an engine prob and need to flash to stock in an emergency?

Not to mention there are very few tuners who are experienced with the 2015 pcm (especially the V6) and getting a crappy tune could cause serious probs

He's actually worked on a bunch of 2015 v6s. And my dealership doesn't really care about working on tuned cars. Maybe it's cause I worked there before and they all know me. And I live in md. There's 93 Oct everywhere. So I think I'll be fine

For tuning the 15+ V6, people speak highly of Torrie from Unleashed here on this forum. FWIW.

The only way I see to turn a 2015 V6 without a SCTx4 is to get it dyno tuned which is $125.00 a hour and about 3 to 4 hours, which is over the cost of torrie's SCTx4. Also is your buddy going be able to update the tune? I bought my SCTx4 this time last year got SCT web site on my computer last week plug my tuner in it and found 5 increase performance update's for more power downloaded them installed them in the computer and took a spin and could feel and increase in acceleration and power.

Yea he actually runs a dyno place near me. And he's able to update anytime. Gonna have my car dyno and data logged and then he's gonna work on the tune

If your going to dyno tune and your a V6 auto you'll need to remove the track contol fuse 62 or it will shut the engine down at 4000 RPM's. Tried to dyno run for a reading on RWHP Monday after a couple runs the track control keep shuting down the engine at 4000 RPM's finally got in touch with a guy that dyno tunes a lot of 2015 - 2016 Mustang's knows them inside and out he informed us to pull the track control fuse 62 to keep it from interacting with other sensors which caused the shut down. Going to try to get the RWHP again Friday.
