Adam, at what vacuum level do you consider something to be a restriction? I have a sensitive meter calibrated in inches of water, and I did some testing on my ecoboost by measuring the vacuum being pulled underneath the filter housing.

When there is nothing left of the original engine does it even qualify to say things like "1000 hp Ecoboost 2.3" ? I mean really there is not going to be a single stock part left at that point. You're just building a bad ass custom turbo 4 engine based on a race block and custom parts, which is fine, but I don't see the connection anymore to the 2.3 EB.

If Ken Dutt is getting kneedeep in the ecoboost then you can expect a large amount of research and developement will be done that few in the country have access or ability to do. This guy has been at the top of the builders hierarchy with people like Yates and such.

He's got a long road ahead of him, not saying he won't. I'm saying he's going to run into all the same problems everyone else is having, fuel, head flow, cams, intake manifold, head gasket. There's a reason 680 whp is the record right now.

Never even been on a dyno and not a Ecoboost 2.3. It is a 2.5L Duratec, a completely different engine.

People have done it before with 4 bangers. I don't care if it's a 3 cylinder. If it makes 1,000 hp, I'd take it. Lol :clap2:

It can be done. In the heyday of Pro Imports(NHRA had a PRO class for compacts at one time) John Lingenfelter(RIP) had a 2.0(enlarged to 2.2 I think) Ecotec Chevy Cavalier Coupe rwd that was putting out @ 1,400 hp and ran 6.9's @ 193. This is the same e.t. Pro Stockers were running at the time. So, when he gets the D.I. sorted he should be good to go.

For all we know, DART might be working on a block right now to fit the bill along with Quaife etc. with a sequential gearbox.

I am sure he will end up with a hp-hf-fp maybe of the racing variety. Possibly even a new high flow head. those 2 things are going to have to be sorted to get 1100hp i believe. A head that Adam does not consider junk. Someone has to be designing a head to replace the stocker for huge hp potential.
