10r80 clutch break in

Do any of you guys go 500 miles or however long before you start to run your car pretty hard after you replace your clutches? Is it like a manual or can you just send it right away?

we rebuild a ton of these, you would always try to break in the clutches through every gear before laying into them if at all possible. we run through every gear on the lift several times and heat cycle and we try to go through several drive cycles on the street as well paddling through and driving in every gear several times at least befeore going down the track

Yeah Terry, Lund Jr told me 50 Street miles and I should be good. I've already been getting on it. Haha.
