10-Speed With Boost and Rear Gear?

I found a nice used 10-speed 5.0 for a decent price, but it has 3.55 gears from the factory. I know that 3.15 are ideal for boost, but I was wondering how much of a difference it really is.

I don't know what kind of boost I want yet, turbo, blower, centri, I don't know yet.

A sticky tire will benefit you most. A centri will also help if you keep the 3.55. I went from 3.73 to 3.15 in my old Boss 302. It made a big difference...until I put a Whipple on it LOL

I ran 10.05@142mph with 3.55's, I was shifting into 7th right before the end of the run, I was shifting into 7th around 137-138mph. I just ordered a 3.15 pumpkin to keep me in 6th and avoiding that last shift. 3/55's also make launching in 1st gear a lot harder to control and keep traction unless the track is prepped well.
