The response to the inital post pretty much sums up this thread. You may hit 1.5 on the gauge, but it's an unrealistic representation of the car's potential because that does not reflect the reality of sustained dynamic circumstances on the track. You can jerk or throw the car around to get a number, but a crazy high number does not entirely represent the handling capabilities of the car. There is more to the equation than the number itself.

Actually, quite the contrary eh/mec.

I was really hoping one of the track guys would chime in on this.........Not sure if this forum is really the best place to ask track related GT350 questions. If someone has a recommendation of a better place to ask this question, please let me know.

The GT350R "EASILY" gets into the 1.5+ range for lateral and braking G's, and "yes" on a real track.
Zitro and J.....Let's please act civil and gentlemen like.

I, in no way belittled, or disrespected either one of you.

Also, let's stay on topic....Not sure where it went off course into a debate over Accel vs Brake G's. I NEVER mentioned Accel, I asked about Lateral and Brake.

Site admin: Can a guy ask a question on this forum without getting destroyed in 0-2 seconds flat? Where is the decency.
Renegade,

Be realistic man. You asked a question, I offered you my opinion, which happens to be correct. You then responded saying that A) I was completely wrong, which I wasn't; B) That you hoped one of the "track" guys would chime in, again insinuating that my opinion was worthless; and C) Maybe this forum isn't the best place to ask, insinuating that no one on here has any track/physics knowledge or experience to speak of.

The digital gauge is no where close to being accurate. Many car reviewers that use GPS and systems like the one posted above to test lateral grip have shown that the 350R is capable of 1.10g's in static cornering grip, which is very impressive.

You somehow think that the gauge is the be all, end all of data acquisition, and we tried to enlighten you. You then proceeded to state that we're all wrong and that you're right. How do you expect to learn if your cup is already full?

PS. Don't take my retort above so serious, it's meant to be humorous. I would say the same to any of my friends or anyone in person, didn't mean any real disrespect

Wow my car is broken, then, and all these professional drivers are incompetent because 1.5G on a GT350R is unheard of. Not even close!
