Click on the specs tab, it shows interesting info such as tire weight and tread width, which is a measure of the width of the actual contact patch. This is how I found out the 295's contact patch is actually very small compared to other sizes (245 ZP's found on the C7 for example are almost has the same contact patch as the 295's).

That being said, they are not too heavy, but if you compare them to the Sport Cup 2's, they are several lbs heavier per tire. Which track tires did you go with?

I bought the contiforcecontact from tirerack. They were discontinued and on closeout for $755 shipped!! 305 front 325 rear. They are probably not as good on track as the Cup 2's, but for that price it was a no Brainer. I'll be trying them out at NJMP thunderbolt on the 30th and I'll report back. I also have a set of cup 2's for next season, but I'll use the contis first since they do have a shelf life.

Yeah I remember seeing the special, stellar price no doubt! And really can't argue with that price anyways, less than half the price of the Cup 2's, who cares if you lose a bit of time :D

Most of us probably can't get the most out of any of these track special tires to begin with, but I'll be looking forward to your review of the Contis!
