Additional Dealer Markup?
Yea, also dealers will try and sugarcoat it by calling it a “market adjustment”. Either way it’s just the dealers screwing you over to make extra cash; there is no fee from the manufacturer that they are covering

"Dealership experience" is a reason Tesla will crush Ford if Ford cant figure out how to NOT make people feel like crap.
Nobody trusts their grand mother, mother, daughter, girlfriend or wife in a room "negotiating" at a Ford dealership.

That’s why it’s good to get established at a dealer you like. I go to Joe Myers Ford here in Houston and only the the sales person/ GM-dealer owner handle transactions not only of mine, but anyone I refer. With these guys you just tell them what you want and that’s it. They won’t try to up-sell you anything extra.

This is the only Ford dealer I’ve ever had that paid 500 more than what my car was valued for at trade in to make the deal work.

Twister orange premium GT. 401A package. That’s that all I got on it. No active exhaust, wheels or black out package.
I just went to the Ford website and built a 2021 in twister orange and with 401a. It came out to $44,375 plus tax, title, and license which we’ll say is $2,500 (here in Texas) so that would be around $46,875, minus the $10k which would be $36,875. Did you trade in a vehicle you were upside down on? Also, did you purchase extended warranty or GAP as well?

Ahhh taxes probably got you then because even if you add in the auto, I think it’s only $1,595 more to the price so it would have been around $38,200.

Maybe someone who purchased a similar spec in Cali can chime in. Hey man, it may not be the best deal but it sounds like a beautiful car! At least you can afford it! Enjoy it.

I have never spent more than 10 min at a dealer buying a car. I send one email or see sales manager direct with the stock # or the build desired with the fair price I want to pay. They say yes or no. The ones that say yes, I usually get 3 or 4 vehicles form them in 6-8 years.

I always want the dealer to make money, take the car there for service and the very profitable warranty stuff.
