Looks like he is being charged 50k before taxes. Take the 11k off thats 39k then taxes added back on. Seems like a bunch of stupid ADM to me. 45k minus 11k would be 34k then taxes and fees. Around 5k adm tacked on to that car.
How did you determine that? I am looking at a new 2021 for 40.4k. Base model with tech (301a) so the drive safe whatever too.

From his own picture. "Cash price" minus "11k down and rebate" is near $39.970 add in taxes and fees comes to 45k. If he was being charged 45k before taxes minus 11k in down payment and discount. It would be $34,970 add taxes and fees would make it 40k. By his specs his car builds to 45ish k.

This means it has around a 5k markup above msrp.

Ford Retail with Destination 401A with Auto $45475
Dealer ADM is $5495
What he is being charged $50970

$50970-45475=5495

The rebate iS from Ford and not the dealer if I am reading it correctly.

The down payment, taxes and following information is not relative, just the cost of the car.
I would not pay the ADM of $5500 but thats just me. Too many other dealers selling at MSRP.
In addition financing that much would be advisable to buy some form of GAP protection. These cars will lose value at some point just like the housing market.

It’s sad that they offer 0% APR, but jack up the prices at the dealership level. Even sadder that we consumers are “ok” with it and pay up.

But I also understand that sometimes, we NEED a new car. its a tough choice….
