  2. Langka Paint Repair Kit Results

Had 3 main scratches on my hood that were bugging the crap out of me. The deep scratch (1st before pic) was from my kids bike. I knew it was pretty deep and would not totally come out. I went with the Langka kit after a member here recommended it. Total cost just over 59 bucks. Overall I am...
  3. Body paint

I'm going to need to paint my aftermarket hood. Two shops offer to do it. One uses PPG paint and the other uses DuPont paint. One also says they bake the car after to give it more durability. My question is, which paint is better and what are some top quality paints? It's for a hood. Thanks
  4. Orange Peel

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a significant orange peel effect in their paint. It's as bad as it was in 1965. I've seen other new Mustangs with much more smooth and reflective paint jobs so I'm not sure if it's mine specifically or because of the color which is CY Competition Orange.
  5. Touch Up Tips

Hello all! I have a quick question regarding making touch up look as good as possible. I have about a pea sized blemish/chip, part down to the primer and part down to the metal. I've tried fixing it with a couple of different methods without much success. First I tried a technique "borrowed"...
  6. Painting Chrome Exhaust

I am on the verge of getting a new ARH catback system for my baby but when I get it I want to paint the mufflers and the tips black to match my ride. Has anybody had any experience painting their exhaust systems? I know you have to use high temp paint but I have never painted anything that I...
  7. Spots on paint after wash

Hey! After I washed and dried my car today I noticed this spot. Is this something that could be removed with a clay bar? I tried removing it with some quick detailer from Meguiar's with no luck. Sorry for the light reflection but it was the only way to get a good picture of it. Thanks...
  8. First wash Question

My GT Premium is going to be here in 47 LONG days. I have asked the dealer to do no prep and not to put a dealer sticker or license plate on and I will remind them soon. I have bought a whole arsenal of Adam's Polishes stuff and was wondering if I take the car home and do a wash, clay bar, and...
  9. Dealer body shop bad work on repair

About 3 weeks ago I purchased my 15 Mustang GT Oxford White. It was nearly perfect, but I did notice a scratch on the top part of the pass side door right in front of the mirror and a paint drip right above that. I let the dealer know and after a few days they said that Ford had accepted the...
  10. Some Jealous Ass**** keyed my car. Need advice...

***Update*** By some miracle I was able to get the Ford dealer I bought the car from to fix the scratches. In addition to that I was given a 3 year free maintenance service and a loaner car for a week all for $500. This is something that should have cost $1500 to have ford fix plus the rental...
