We were able to get a whole slew of pictures of pre-production 2015 Mustangs in different colors and trims showing new wheels, a faux-gas cap, Mustang decal, and a variety of combinations.

A few obvious things of note:

  1. Two Mustangs in Competition Orange -- one GT and one base model.
  2. Mustang in Deep Impact Blue. Wearing the "corralled pony" grille believed to be part of the 50th Anniversary edition package.
  3. Mustang in Guard. With a unique faux gas cap-like pony badge on the rear decklid, as seen on early design study models.
  4. Mustang GT in Ingot Silver. 19" Gloss Black Wheels.
  5. Mustang in Race Red. With subtle "Mustang" side graphic decal at the lower sill area.
  6. Mustang in Ruby Red. 18" Machined Wheels.
  7. Mustang in Oxford White. Wearing new yet-unseen wheels.

This confirms for me what I have thought for years ... I don't like black wheels.

To my eyes, it just creates a void underneath.

Of these I like the ruby red best, which is a surprise to me. It's a nice deep red, but maybe it's just the wheels. I would like to see those on the guard and deep impact blue.

The first blue car and ruby red car have different headlights than the rest. Looks like the days of all mustangs having HID projectors are over
Also, it's hard for me to tell but the three strips on the non-HID headlights appear to either not light up, or not light up with the same intensity as on the HID headlights

yeah
i like that ruby one very much

one question

up to now i have known 3 interior / seat colours
black
beige / = (sand-Stone)
saddle / = (Brown)

do we have a fourth colour coming up or did they combine ruby with saddle coloured seats?
take a look at the backrests of the backseats in this pic

I was set on ordering one, but the more and more pictures I see, they become more unflattering. The car seems to lack aggressiveness, and looks very bland.....

Also, it only looks good in 2 colors, Ruby and DIB. All the other colors seem to wash the car out giving it no distinctive lines especially CO and Black.

Yep. Been known for a while that the base headlamps are halogens :(

I think part of the reason is that the side profiles are a bit weak. With bad lighting, the side details are washed out which as you said "bland".

Take a look at this properly photographed picture. Maybe the Mustang design is a bit more sensitive to lighting than other cars. I guess seeing in person is like having a perfectly photographed picture.

Possibly so. It seems as if most the of shots on the street, the car is covered in a good bit of salt. Suprisingly, silver (Ingot) which is a color that normally "washes" out bodylines looks great on this car.

The ruby red is the exact one I want to order. I just need to find out where I can see it in person before odering opens up.
