My air conditioning stopped blowing cold air. The fan speed is there and it has no issues with warm/hot temperatures - but that's hardly a comfort in Texas summer weather :frusty:

Any idea what is causing this and if it's worth attempting to fix it on my own?

First check to see if the compressor clutch activates when you turn the AC on and the temp down. If the clutch isn't activating you might just have a blown fuse. If that is not the problem it will need to be checked by a Mechanic.

Take it to the dealer; mine stopped working too and it turns out there was a Freon leak and then it eventually all leaked out causing my raditator fans to come on all the time; dealer fixed it no questions in a couple hours, apparently I wasn't the first one they've seen with that issue

It turned out that my evaporator core was malfunctioning (leaking freon, I assume). Fortunately, the bumper-to-bumper warranty covered it, so now I can again enjoy driving - full AC on!

Mines in having the evaporator core replaced now. Do you have any new dash rattles and such since the repair was done?

Same issue here - failed evaporator. My car has been at the dealership for 3+ weeks now waiting on what I've been informed is a back ordered part...dealer has been pretty good about keeping me informed but they apparently still have no idea when the part will arrive. Is there anyone I can contact at a higher level at Ford to see if they can expedite the parts?

I'm in the same boat. Part on back order. Day 18 for me. They are saying part should arrive on day 32. But, it was originally supposed to be here on day 15. Sucks!!!!

Can I ask why you would try and fix it on your own? Does your 2015 already have 36k miles on it and is out of warranty? If not, take it to the dealer and have it fixed, you PAID for that warranty as part of the cost of the car. Use it for goodness sakes.

They told me the same shit about the bad evaporator.
The problem is so bad they are out of replacement parts and I'm still waiting for one after a week.
